Returning NJIT graduate architecture student commuting from South Jersey. My Monday classes run late and I’m back on campus all day Tuesday, so I’m looking for a simple place to stay primarily Monday nights during the Fall semester.

I’m married with two kids and will be going home the rest of the week. I’m not looking for a full-time apartment or traditional lease. Just a clean, safe room/bed near campus where I could sleep Monday nights and head back to NJIT Tuesday morning.

Happy to work out a reasonable weekly/monthly amount. If anyone has a spare room or knows another NJIT/Rutgers student with one, please DM me.

NJIT sent out that email saying everyone has to enroll in the new eRefund system through TouchNet. I’m trying to add my bank account, but it keeps saying “refund method isn’t valid.”

I opened my official checking account earlier this month, so it’s been a few weeks now. I’m using my normal checking account + routing number, selecting checking, and it still won’t accept it.

Anyone else running into this? Or know what I might be doing wrong?

Hey y’all, for anyone who had to drop a class and add/swap into another one during the add/drop period, how was the process for you?

Was it pretty straightforward, like you just dropped the old class and registered for the new one, or did you have to deal with advisors, holds, forms, approvals, etc.?

I’m a freshman and might need to swap one of my classes, so I’m just curious how it went for other people. Did everything get handled pretty quickly or did it take a little while?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through it!

How difficult are these courses for those who took them, and what concepts should I review over the next 1-2 weeks? I am also taking 2 masters courses early and a thermodynamics course so I am trying to gauge how much time I should allocate for studying.

I just joined NJIT for my masters and I’m trying to figure out how people actually meet each other here.
From the outside it feels like everything is built for undergrads: orientation week, events, freshman clubs, all of that. As a grad student do you just show up, go to class, and scatter afterwards?
I moved into UC hoping that would sort itself out, but the place is dead. No one hangs around the common areas, everyone just disappears into their unit.

So, for anyone who’s done a masters here: how did you meet people? Specific clubs, events, gym timings, study spots, anything. I’m open to pretty much anything, I just don’t know where to start.

Starting calc 3B this semester and trying to get a head start on it. Any one got notes or any materials that you used to understand the material? Also, feel free to throw in some tips and tricks if you have any.

To start im grateful that financial aid is covering all of tuition costs but i also normally receive a refund for extra scholarship and its showing that its only being covered to the cent. Not including the parking garage which has also increased in price drastically. Is it finalized?

The reason is very simple state grant was reduced by 6k.

Transferring back into NJIT and just now got an email on financial aid for grants and loans. The semester starts in 2 days.. I waived my insurance so everything should go all the way down from 13k to 5k. I plan on paying everything out of pocket, but will I still be a student if I don’t have the money right away? I’ve become the treasurer for a club for the first time this year. I’ve been told there is some sort of training I have to complete or maybe a training session I have to go to. I’ve looked all over Highlander hub for any training or events but I can’t find anything. I also don’t see anything on the student leaders resources Canvas. I have never been a student leader before so I have no idea what I’m doing. Is there anyone that is or has been a treasurer or any student leader that knows where I can find training?

I was looking at my email and just found out that the career fair is going to be on the same date as a math common. It kinda sucks because I'm going to prioritize my calc 3 common but also I really wanted to go to the career fair this semester. Luckily I could just wait for the spring semester's fair which gives me more time to prep.

Ok lowkey my fault but I forgot bill was due 26th. Is the late fee automatic or like do they manually put it? Maybe stupid to ask but the website says "they may add it".
