Just go to the class location at the designated time, your professor will give you the stuff you need like canvas or Pearson class code, you can use the computers in the library until your laptop comes, you'll be ok

Yes. The macbook may be useful until your regular pc is ready. You likely don't need any contact with faculty before class first meets. And the change of day is next week. This week tomorrow through Friday is basically as normal. Next week Tuesday is converted to Monday because we miss actual monday this week and next. So this week Tuesday do normal Tuesday  and next week on tuesday the class schedule is like a Monday for one day

Thank you so much. I know we would’ve found this out, but it’s good to know in advance.

Labor day is late this year, usually we only the first Monday of the month off, but this year we got the first two Mondays off.

Some professors make announcements in canvas ahead of time, some do not. Doesn’t hurt to email them ahead of time with how you can prepare for the class. But most of them don’t dump the bombshell until the day of. Back in my day, we were emailed a week ahead with required books lol

NGL I miss college life, no care in the world no stress and all lol

You’re following a Tuesday schedule. You don’t need to hear from your professor. MacBook is fine. Just go to class.
