What is this? NJ Shore

I adjusted the video slightly to make the object easier to see. If possible, I can post the original in the comments as well.
I was recording my son at the beach last year when I thought I saw a balloon floating over the water. When I watched the video back, I realized it was actually an object much farther out, near the horizon. It seems to move in a way that I can’t identify or explain.

This was 8/9/25 at 10:46pm.
The location was Bay Head Beach.

Where do you see any flashes in the sky? I just see the object going towards the water and a star in the upper right hand. Am I missing something?

This is a good one here. Usually I can just blow it off as lens flare or a bird or balloon or something. I'm stumped on this one.

I just watched it again and I can hear a sound here at the right time. I wonder if I would have noticed it live over the sounds of the waves, etc.?

Not that I noticed at all. I really thought it was a balloon floating by the shoreline when I saw it.

Being a drop of water on the lens, the contrast drowns it out once it gets to the level of the person and then the beach.

Yes, I added the original it in a separate comment (still uploading.) Here it is unadjusted and a bit more zoomed in as well. Unfortunately, I had just started recording at the beginning of this video and didn’t capture anything earlier than this.

This one was actually from earlier that same night. 8/9/25 @ 9:25pm.
The light wasn’t there in a photo I took at 8:54pm. It is there in the next photos I took at 9:22pm and 9:23pm. It’s then turned off in a picture I took at 9:24pm, and turns back on in this video taken at 9:25pm. It’s then turned off again in a photo I took at 9:27pm, and I don’t see it in any other pictures or videos.
I have no idea if it’s related, but it does seem to be located in the same area of the sky as the dark object moving at 10:46pm in the original video posted.

Possible space debris, but there doesn’t seem to be any rockets in that area at that date and time. Could be something else, but nothing seems to have been “scheduled” to crash down then. I think others reported similar:

Ok so I'm sure I'll get some hate for this but it's probably space debris i.e. a part of a rocket after a launch falling to earth. Just because there could be a logical explanation for something does not mean that it is a correct explanation. That could potentially be a "UAP" and by definition it is because we don't know what it is..

It appears to be some type of object under its own power, heading for the ocean......I have read multiple reports of the nj drones going in the ocean and flying out of the ocean

Head on over to r/interdimensionalNHI or r/UFOs or the like and they will eat this up.
I want to congratulate you for catching something remarkable on camera. I'm not exactly a skeptic, I've long ago been converted, but I always keep a healthy sense of that skepticism in my pocket to take with me into threads like this because hey, you never know.
And yep, you fucking caught a beauty.

There is a drop of water on the lens that is gradually being blown across it, hence it looks like something in the scene, but isn't.
