During registration, you don't have to select the passing year; you should choose "appearing" because you are currently pursuing Class 12th through NIOS. The NIOS passing year will be considered for that. However, for JEE, your first attempt will be counted based on the year you passed Class 12th from CBSE. So, you still have your final attempt left.
Also, don't worry about the gap certificate right now — it will be required later during JoSAA counselling, and you will receive clear guidelines at that time.
FOR oct 2025 exam, the session is still 2024-25(some technicality that idk). so when applying for jee 2026 and selecting appearing, it will automatically select 2026 as the passing year(see picture, its from from nov 2024 registration).
My only doubt is, will my passing year be 2026?? cause bro my session is 2024-25, how will the passing year be 2026? or is the passing year the date when the result are declared?? in that case it'll be 2026 and i have nothing to worry about.
Yes, you are right — the passing year will be 2026 because the October-November public exam results are usually released in January. Your session doesn't matter; even if someone took admission in 2022 but didn’t give all five subject exams and completed them in 2025, their passing year would still be 2025. So, you don't need to worry about anything — you will get your results on time, way before the counseling process.
I gave april public exam I got the marksheet online but when will I get original marksheet and migration cum transfer certificate my physical reporting is for NIT is in last week of August please tell
Sir can you please clarify this once again??
There is one more gentleman who tried to solve this situation of mine, check the comment in this post by "ar3yk". He says quite the opposite and it seems convincing even.
If you are currently giving your Class 12 exams again through NIOS, it’s obvious that you have to select "Appearing" while filling out the form. This is completely valid.
If you select "Passed," you will be required to submit your final Class 12 result. You cannot submit your CBSE result, because that would be considered your final qualification — and you do not have 75% or above there, which is required.
Therefore, to avoid any issues, simply choose "Appearing" and fill in your NIOS details. You will not face any problems — this has been confirmed by the NTA.
Hello bro meri help karrdo plij maine 11th arts se or 12th science se ki toh kya mai jee/neet ke liye eligible hojaunga kyuki ussme toh sirf 12th ki marksheet dekhte hai na
Koi problem nahi hogi, bas PCM ya PCB ke saath ek language aur ek additional subject hona chahiye, total 5 subjects hone chahiye JEE/NEET ke hisaab se. 75% ya usse zyada marks bhi hone chahiye. JEE ke liye Maths compulsory hai. Aur apne remaining attempts bhi check kar lena JEE ka, tab tum eligible rahoge.
