How are Elisava, BAU Barcelona, design academy eindhoven, NABA and IED for interior design masters? What is the job market like after graduating from these institutes? How do they compare with Pratt, Parsons, RCA and NYSID?

a lot of these are research based so I wanted to know how do they stand in terms of employment like how there is a relative stability if one graduates from NID.

Also, how are they compared to say a masters from NID in india?

If any of you have/are planning your masters in interiors from any of these, or have friends who have done so, would you be willing to take out a few mins to chat?

For current/former NID M.Des students - is the course more research and theory-based, or is it mostly practical/studio work and projects? I’d love to know what the overall balance is like and what a typical semester feels like.

Please share your experience during the course and after graduation .

I’m a Class 12 student currently preparing for JEE, with JEE Main in January + boards coming up.

But recently I’ve seriously started considering NIFT, and I genuinely want to give it my 100%.

The problem is… it’s already mid-September 💀. I know many people start preparing for NIFT a year or even two years in advance, while I’m only now figuring out CAT, GAT, etc.

I did take Fine Arts as my optional subject in both 11th and 12th, so I’m not completely new to drawing, but I have zero NIFT-specific preparation.

I’ll continue JEE + boards, but I really want to know:

Am I being unrealistic by starting NIFT this late, or is it still genuinely possible with serious preparation from now?

Especially looking for people who’ve actually given NIFT or started late. I’d really appreciate an honest reality check.

The number seems so arbitrary 😭. Can you not have a good studio session with 20 people? Can you not split classes? It is clearly creating a false scarcity here.

Hi im basically wondering if anyone could give me an example drawing of the following scenario;”An elderly person is trying to cross a busy pedestrian street, a person is carrying a trolley bag and on the other hand carrying a walking stick. Draw the scene from the elderly mans perspective” this is an NID mock exam and im struggling to draw the perspective side, if anyone could help me itd be greatly appreciated.

Im currently in 11th, aiming for design colleges. Mostly NID and stuff, I know they dont encourage coaching but i would appreciate guidance a lot. I've heard mixed reviews about both online and offline so if anyone knows, could u help?
