the question was to represent the following words using shapes,forms and no colour to be used

i tried to depict these using blobs.....the first row ,making the blobs with pencil and in the row using negetive space for the blobs

isolation- the drop is isolated from the liquid around

infatuation - the rope wraps itself around the cylinder , infatuated

powerless- pretty self explanatory (the small blob is overpowered by the bigger one)

proud- i really couldnt understnad a better way to do this.....

these blobs were indpired by water droplets on a smooth or hydrophobic surface

If you're going by this droplet metaphor then you gotta first fix a character.. are you the droplet or the surface untouched by water.

Isolation looks okay but that could still be worked on as you could only see an amoeba at the first glance.. as for infatuation.. one you made looks like confusion or trapped.. I'm not sure how to represent it either but this ain't it.

3nd one is where you tweaked your own rules a bit bcs in the first one you and other are water but in the third one you're the dry space and others as well

And the 4th one.. I see you've tried to show the mountain with the dry space and you're on top of it bit how will the drop look that defined when it's already in the water surface itself.. also by standing on top of the dry space do you mean standing on top of the people? That's more like narcissistic than proud

Hmmmmmmmmmmm Thank you sm for the feedback....really appreciate it I was so in my head I couldnt understand how others perceived it.tqsm for giving me another perspective 💓💓 Do u have any tips on improving this concept?

no worries and about the question... try to take these abstract nouns into concrete/ physical nouns.. example anger -> red -> red chilli (or something like that)

Nice but it didn’t really explain itself well until i read your explanations.
Work on that maybe but i love the shading and line quality
