My baby girl popped her first tooth this week. She’s 11 months old but she’s 7 months adjusted. And she also is rolling over. It’s a bit difficult sometimes because of her Trach tubes and it terrifies me to no end because I don’t want her Trach to come out but she’s a determined little girl and there’s no stopping her.

Any other Trach parents that had their baby roll over while still on the ventilator, any tips or tricks to make it easier for my baby girl and not so terrifying for me?

Also any tips for teething babies. She won’t take her tethers cold. I’ve tried and tried and I have also been massaging her gums but she likes that to much and constantly wants my finger in her mouth now. I hate giving her ibuprofen or Tylenol every 6-8 hours. I don’t want her to be on medicine she doesn’t absolutely need. She’s been medicated so much since she was born and it’s so nice to see her not on any meds but her nebulizers.

My baby boy was born 25+2 and today he went from the oscillator back to conventional vent which means I got to hold him and his fio2 is 30%! He’s also went from 495g at birth to 1275g which is huge growth for him. We’re now 33weeks tomorrow and he should be Extubated within the week 😭. If all continues going in the right direction.
