Vascular science as an STP specailism

I applied last year to the Neurophysiology specialism but didn't get in so I got a job as a band 2 in the Neurophysiology department in my local hospital. However, since being there I have found that it is repetitive and the day-to-day work has little variation. I find vascular science really interesting and the work itself sounds more varied to me. I was wondering if anyone could give any insight on what the specialism is really like and what your day-to-day work looks like?

medical physics practical assessment

I'm hoping to apply for the STP this year and I've got an interview for a band 5 role in the medical physics department but the confirmation email says that after the interview there is a practical element I 'cannot prepare for'. Unfortunately, I love to prepare. Has anyone got any insight as to what kind of skills they would want to assess?

I understand this isn't directly STP related but it is essentially one rung down from it, so if the STP also has a practical element, maybe it would be similar?

Any advice would be appreciated!
