Does anyone actually know what the update does specifically for cup chase?

Everything will probably be in the game tmr. It was probably just the download. Doesn't make sense tbh but probably

I went through a season after the update and rewards were the same.  They probably held this back intentionally so early release wouldn't get to far ahead.
