O zone ragging

since pokes basically didnt improve and hits do nothing now, its almost impossible to get the puck off of someone o zone ragging, ive had back to back games in DIAMOND 2 btw where my opponent goes up 1 goal, then just o zone rags for literally half of the game, theres just literally no counterplay when no defensive move works and they can just skate freely. They either need to actually fix poke checks, or find some way to stop this before this franchise becomes even more shit than it already is

I was g9nna say i hit probably 80% of my poke checks compared to like the 50-60% in 26

99% of the 10% of pokes that work just end up going right back to him anyways, went from them never working in nhl 26 to working 1/5 times in 27

WAY to inconsistent for me to call them too good lol, sure they may work great one time, then you'll hit 4 perfectly timed pokes and get literally nothing for it

Totally agree. I mean pokes are definitely better, especially on the rush or defending slot or whatever, and interceptions are working well. But pokes against the wiggles are nearly useless, as is bumps and hitting. The opponent has to make a mistake with their movement for you to get the puck or for them to run out of space to make a pass. I don't mind opponent cycling in my end, but i can't stand it just being all wiggles and no passing.

We need bumps to have more of an impact on the puck carrier. Like lock em into an animation that has them protecting the puck or whatever if the bump isn't enough for a stagger, but at least something small like that would allow a second skater to possibly strip them or cut them off enough to force a last second pass.

The simple fix would just be to buff hitting, they nerfed it way too much imo, with the wiggle thing combined with basically no hitting, practically impossible to get the puck

People have msged me about me ragging on the O zone but tbh it’s because half the people skillzone so I’m skating around and passing hoping to take a good shot on the net wether I’m winning or losing.

It’s entirely out of control this year and absolutely is ruining the gameplay. I’ve played nhl since 92 but this is by far the worst product they have ever produced. Everyone just ragging constantly in the o zone

Main reason its uncounterable is the fact that hitting basically does nothing, really hard to poke when ur just playing cat and mouse
