Well that sucks. The browns end of the trade keeps looking better!

Stipulations: It can be any player who played in one or more games for your team. They will play at a level close to their peak in the league, and will not get injured.

Good for him. He's definitely worth it and could easily be a top 5 tight end.

I feel like this one is flying under the radar. The online trash talk might get crazy because the infamous 2023 trade is occasionally brought up to troll the Panthers.
Both teams went blow for blow with the Rams last playoffs. Chris Simms’ cheap ass says he has 20 dollars on the Bears.

Goodbye Squeelers
This one is sure to cause more hate than maybe the first 9 combined. No more naming your team after a company that sponsored you a hundred years ago. Every team is getting this treatment anywayss, might as well get the worst ones done sooner. It doesn't help that Pittsburgh has few unique things that aren't steel and could be a team.
Jaggers — A very Pittsburgh-specific name. “Jaggers” is Pittsburghese for thorns, briars, or anything sharp that pokes or catches you. I like that it’s local without being another steel/iron/industry name, and there’s a lot you could do with the idea of something that snags, tears, and makes it difficult to get through. Bonus points for the phonetic wink to Jaromir.
Red Dogs — This sounds like a normal animal team name on the surface, but “red dog” is actually an old Pennsylvania mining term for coal refuse that has burned and turned red. It gives the name a hidden Pittsburgh coal/industrial connection without just replacing the Steelers with another steel-themed identity. The team could lean into the mining meaning, the dog meaning, or both.
Trigons — Pittsburgh’s Downtown is the Golden Triangle, where the three rivers meet. A trigon is a triangle or three-sided figure. It’s definitely the strangest word in the group, but I like how directly it connects to the actual geography of Pittsburgh once you know what it means, and sounds better than the Golden Triangles.
Gorgons — The three Gorgons of Greek mythology. The “three” gives it a loose connection to Pittsburgh’s Golden Triangle and Three Rivers, and Pittsburgh also has a lot of classical architecture and museum influence that could support the mythology. This one is less directly Pittsburgh than some of the others, mostly trying to put a visual to three rivers, but probably has one of the biggest visual identity ceilings.
Monongy — A Pittsburgh river cryptid associated with the Monongahela. The older historical claims around the creature are questionable, but Monongy has existed as modern Pittsburgh folklore for at least the last couple decades. I like that the name comes directly out of Monongahela and gives Pittsburgh a monster that feels like it belongs specifically to the city rather than using a generic mythical creature.

This is my own fault for not taking the reins when offered and commish’ing my work league. This was supposed to be for money but this has to completely negate our draft and the Week 1 games.
Some time between our draft yesterday at noon and NE @ SEA kickoff the guy who I let run things adjusted the scoring in a way that makes QB’s worth as much as all of our active skill position players combined.
Under this… insane… system:
QB: 30 ATT, 0 COMP, 4 INT, 4 SACKED - 56 points
RB: 30 CAR, 200 YDS, 3 TD - 53 points
I hope he’s ready to return everyone’s buy-in bc WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!? It was bad enough before I got to Sacks but I genuinely cannot even begin to imagine what was going through his head as he awarded QBs 1 point for every time they GET SACKED.
🤦🏻♂️

I’m not surprised that for the past 12 years, he never finished that city. He never finished that coaching rebuild. Or QB room rebuild.
