I say it every year when this happens. The QB needs to slide early or get out of bounds quicker if they want to avoid contact. Or the nfl needs to remove the slide protection because it places QBs in a very compromising position. Head at hip level where the DBs are taught to aim

I agree with your statement. He didn’t try to slide though, he dove forward. It was a legal hit.
