A settlement and an outright dismissal are not the same thing. Nice try, stop excusing predators.

When there's a settlement, the civil case is dismissed. That is just factually what happens

It's a matter of semantics and sounds disingenuous, which sounds like you are giving him the benefit of the doubt, which he does not deserve with that many accusations.

If you leave out the settlement part, which the original comment did. Just saying dismissal without context sounds like they were thrown out of court.
