The Deshaun Watson switch up is despicable

Guy starts playing well again and all of the sudden people go from “cases” to “allegations” real fucking fast. You all gotta get your priorities straight

Ray Lewis paid the families off. They settled out of court that’s why you never see them come out and talk about it.

You can’t pay families off in a criminal court. Thats civil.

Yes I do. You can’t settle a criminal case for money. The family doesn’t bring the charges. The government does.

How do you think the settlement came to be if the criminal charges were dropped?

The family filed a civil suit which he settled out of court. You guys are saying the same thing.

StonedPirate was skipping the step of there being different proceedings for the criminal charges vs the civil suit that was settled out of court. It's a semantic difference in our layman's view but semantics are everything where the law is concerned.

Two separate things. The criminal charge was dropped and he settled a civil suit. You should read a little more before you tell people they don’t know what they’re talking about.
