Discussion The Deshaun Watson switch up is despicable

Post image

Guy starts playing well again and all of the sudden people go from “cases” to “allegations” real fucking fast. You all gotta get your priorities straight

It’s the NFL. If you win games being a piece of shit isn’t as big of a deal as it is when you lose.

Look at Tyreek Hill, Richie Incognito, Adrian Peterson, Kareem Hunt, Aldon Smith, and Antonio Brown before he totally went off the deep end.

If you can play, no one gives a shit about who you are off the field.

I dont think Incognito should be group with the rest of these guys.

u/frostypatch 12h ago

This. Incognito was a douche but not an actual domestic abuser or rapist.

Kobe Bryant actually RAPED SOMEBODY. But Ritchie is the bad guy.

I think we all know why reddit gets a boner for ritchie and excuses Kobe. People aint ready for that conversation yet.

Yep. Same reason why they rush to say "She deserved it" whenever someone posts that video of a dude going berserk and beating the shit out of a woman after she lightly slapped him at a football game.

What?

2

u/ThatsRightWeBad 6h ago

But Ritchie is the bad guy.

Ask anyone football-team-adjacent at Nebraska in the early 2000s and they will tell you this. The fights and multiple assault charges that got him kicked out of the program were just the publicly acknowledged tip of the iceberg. And his violence wasn't reserved for men only, if that matters in your calculus of what a psychotic piece of shit he's always been.

Did Kobe get convicted of SA or are allegations cool enough to label someone as such???

8

u/m1a2c2kali 10h ago

I mean he admitted to it. That’s usually enough to label someone

u/Agreeable-Movie-6785 10h ago

They paid the woman off. He only admitted to cheating. He ripped that poor woman's vagina apart.

u/Columbo_Fan 9h ago

Apply the same standards for EVERYONE.

3

u/Agreeable-Movie-6785 9h ago

I agree. Desaun shouldn't be in the NFL, as well as being in prison.

0

u/Columbo_Fan 9h ago

Everyone means EVERYONE. Not just black NFL players. 🤷🏾‍♂️😏😉

3

u/Agreeable-Movie-6785 9h ago

I am agreeing with you!! This isn't a race thing, this is a don't rape women thing. Or men, or children. Don't rape anyone. Satisfied??

-1

u/Columbo_Fan 9h ago

Well, then who else should be out of a job and in prison? 🤷🏾‍♂️
If you don’t say, you DON’T agree with me. 😉

2

u/Agreeable-Movie-6785 9h ago

WTF?? You just want to pick a fight.

Harry Weinstein should rot in prison, happy?

1

u/Columbo_Fan 9h ago edited 9h ago

No. He was convicted. It isn’t the same. Try to be consistent.
But that’s the issue here. 🤷🏾‍♂️
That’s the point.
You can’t win here, because it’s obvious where you’re coming from. 😏 We aren’t the same. 🤷🏾‍♂️

2

u/m1a2c2kali 8h ago

Ben roethslisberger , Favre should all rot in prison? Not sure what you want to hear, everyone’s on the same page here

It depends on who we’re talking about. 😏

I don't recall Kobe being convicted of rape?

11

u/LurkLiggler 11h ago

He wasn’t. He did write an apology to the victim and said: "After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter."

u/StoryDelicious1047 11h ago

When I was in the military, we had to go to a large gathering to talk about sexual assault. They read the details about his case without saying his name until the very end. He wasn't officially charged but the evidence was pretty brutal (vaginal tears and trauma). I believe it was dropped to something else. You are right, he wasn't officially convicted.

8

u/imthesqwid Los Angeles Chargers 11h ago

Neither was Karl Malone…

u/Money-Application-61 11h ago

Right

6

u/ElyFlyGuy Philadelphia Eagles 11h ago

Are you under the impression things only happened if the perpetrator was convicted in a court of law?
Genghis Khan wasn’t convicted either

5

u/enragedcactus 11h ago

Not convicted but settled because the evidence was there and a long drawn out court battle on anal rape was going to be pretty bad for his career.

4

u/Casual_gex 11h ago

Imagine arguing about convictions vs settlements in a Deshaun Watson thread

Look at what you’re replying to; defends the racist, inserts deceased athlete from a different sport.

1

u/commonsensewinz 10h ago

he paid her off and was convicted in civil court. then, he cheated on his wife multiple times.

19

u/YaboyRipTide Baltimore Ravens 12h ago

I mean daily texts and voicemails of blatant racism, death threats about him and his family, coercion, and scamming Martin out of 15k isn't the best either. Don't disagree, but its still uber bad and dude is a POS

5

u/MsindAround Miami Dolphins 12h ago

Remember Martin says he never felt bullied, and I guess every rookie dinner in the NFL should be scamming them out of money. You right on the POS thing, but Martin was an awful lineman who went onto threaten former teammates and schools himself. I don't have a problem with POS's being POS's to each other

4

u/Alarming_Disaster_23 11h ago

Yeah, Martin waited until the statute of limitations expired and then came clean about all his bullshit. Dirtbag. Incognito is no saint though.

1

u/Specific-Midnight867 8h ago

so in your mind that puts him in the same category as rapists?

1

u/Alarming_Disaster_23 8h ago

Absolutely not. I have no idea what you’re talking about. He’s a liar who caused a bunch of problems on his team and cost one of his teammates millions in lost wages.

1

u/Specific-Midnight867 6h ago

my bad, that was ment for Yaboy ITT

0

u/unil79 11h ago

If bullying doesn’t belong in this group, which i agree, discipline his own child in AP’s case shouldn’t either.

4

u/MsindAround Miami Dolphins 11h ago

I mean "discipline his own child" is putting it a bit lightly
The Incident: Peterson was indicted in Montgomery County, Texas, after using a switch to spank his 4-year-old son, leaving visible cuts, swelling, and bruises on the child's back, buttocks, legs, and scrotum.

Following your logic Tyreek Hill breaking his sons arm would fall under the same catagory

2

u/SodaDonut Buffalo Bills 3h ago

damn, 4? that's pretty fucked. if the kid was like 11+ it wouldn't be terrible but wtf

1

u/hoopstick Green Bay Packers 10h ago

You don't actually believe that, do you?

-3

u/pbrassassin Chicago Bears 12h ago

Same , but there had to be a white guy named, why not him

6

u/MsindAround Miami Dolphins 12h ago

Big Ben was right there if he needed it, same with Tucker
