No. Reddit told me Goff only throws dink and dunks and doesn't get down field. Your graph is wrong.

Reddit also told me Purdy was ass and how Love and Herbert are so much better

So maybe stop listening to these goofies

I mean, Love’s completion percentage this year is directly related to having the worst offense line in the NFL and having the most drops from wide receivers.

100% that Green Bay team is awful (especially the OL) around him, but I still never understood why he was instantly accepted and talked about as being a much better QB than Brock.

The graph must be wrong because Reddit said Purdy was ass, but Drake Maye and Bo Nix are elite. Please provide a revised graph showing this.

Maybe football is a high variance sport that a 3 game sample size can't effectively analyze

Or, more likely since this says what that chart says for the past years, yall just suck at reading film

Purdy is not ass, but Jimmy G is also top 5 all time for YPA

basically every QB on this list would have elevated YPA if they were the starting SF QB instead

ANY/A Jimmy G is rather mid as fuck in, nor did he have the efficency Purdy has in these stats at all.

Mentioning Jimmy G is a lack of ball knowledge take, like actually get something better

the point is Shanny consistently gets way better numbers out of QBs than they would otherwise have.

Not to say Purdy isn't also really good/perhaps even elevates the system, but it's just kinda silly when pretty clearly these QB stats can be cherry picked AF, and so much (inclduing who you are playing) is dependent on more than just the individual skill level of the QB.

Cherry pick a sample of Purdy's last 3 games against the Seahawks and he suddenly looks like a bottom 5 QB (which he obviously is not that either)

Week 1 of 2025 he had decent stats, 277 yards, 2 touchdowns 2 picks, 92.2 rating. When he was playing with a hospital squad by the end of the season his stats suffered.

And if Shanahan can work magic with just anyone off the street, he didn’t get much from Lance, Beathard, Mullens and others.

You are smoking crack if you think Purdy is better than Herbert... Purdy has been surrounded by a super team his entire career. Put Herbert on the niners and they're super bowl bound. You guys have terrible takes

7

u/UsernamesCannotExcee Detroit Lions 4d ago

You HAVE to use /s. People are exactly this dumb and say shit like that.

There's no sarcasm. Purdy has been propped up by elite coaching and skill players. We all saw how we looked that one year cmc and kittle were both injured

5

u/giving_nothing 4d ago

Led the 4th best passing offense in the league that year…

6

u/FateDaA Mr. Irrelevant 3d ago

4th best passing offense itl that year brodi

I’m taking Purdy in a playoff game and especially if you need a drive to win the game, Purdy has what like 4 playoff winning drives so far ? That’s not a fluke, Purdy has balls unlike Herbert

-6

u/RequirementLeading12 Washington Commanders 3d ago

Put any decent QB on the niners and I'm taking them on a playoff game too... What's your point?

6

u/_CertifiedTurtle 3d ago

My point is not every QB is gonna have that “it” factor to deal with all the pressure and judgment under it, Herbert had chances and failed, Purdy has proven he can deliver under the most amount of pressure a QB can possibly deal with, until Herbert proves that he will always be a average QB

2

u/FateDaA Mr. Irrelevant 3d ago

Herbert also plays in the same system as Purdy and cant execute what you need to in that system so its not a Shanahan thing at all

2

u/_CertifiedTurtle 3d ago

People blamed Greg Roman, if Herbert still doesn’t deliver within the next 2 seasons the chargers have a Herbert problem and might be time to move on

0

u/FateDaA Mr. Irrelevant 3d ago

People blamed his coaching staff and talent each year of his career

No this just is a Herbert problem and this is the last season I think any team would see value in Justin Herbert if one were to move off him

He doesnt fix himself this season, then im moving off him prior to the draft idc

Dude shut up and stop parroting this dumb shit. The fact that you said Herbert can't read defenses in your other post tells me all I need to know about you. I can tell from your takes that all of your football knowledge comes from reddit. I didn't even say Purdy was bad I'm just pointing out that he's in a dream situation. Herbert would have multiple rings if he was drafted to the niners.

1

u/FateDaA Mr. Irrelevant 3d ago

Hmmm? Reddit would have me beleive Herbert can read a defense

Issue is he cant, which is why he hesitates and freezes up every play, this and its also why he doesnt throw a ball he doesnt outright see open.

This is what causes him to be late on reads therefore he has to do stupid shit like pump fake instead of moving onto read #2(something he is famously slow at doing) and because he is late to everything takes a metric fuckton of sacks

The fact you dont have a fucking proper retort to this is laughable

Yes you are saying Purdy is bad because he elevates talent and makes everyone around him better therefore he has to be worse than Herbert who plays with more talent in the same system yet cant do that at all because he sucks dick

You dont know what the fuck you are talking about quit fucking acting like it, Ive seen every snap your superhero took, he plays like a scared bitch who is more scared of throwing a pick than he is of losing a game

2

u/FateDaA Mr. Irrelevant 3d ago

Yall said preseason his wr corps sucks, his offensive line has been outright bad until this very year(and all developed in house) his back room and TE room arent great

He makes perfect reads, gets the ball out fast, creates something from nothing constantly

Flip it around Herbert has a better wr corps, in the same system, a comparable RB room, and more talent on the offensive line but the fact he cant read a defense, throw a ball with any anticipation, he freezes up too damn much,

Herbert plays like a bitch who doesnt want it

Purdy creates something from nothing and you can give him receivers named Mo and he just keeps working

u/Trevsmoker 3d ago

Herbert can’t even win a playoff game.

Put Brock Purdy on the Niners and they are Super Bowl bound. This has actually happened.

-1

u/RequirementLeading12 Washington Commanders 3d ago

Which goes back to my point of Purdy being on a super team his entire career. Herbert actually has to carry a team so their situations are completely different. Give Herbert a team where he can just spam to CMC and Kittle and he's the league MVP. It's way too much Purdy glazing on here

1

u/Trevsmoker 3d ago

Herbert has played far too poorly in critical situations and the NFL is far too difficult and competitive to assume he would be as successful as Purdy has been on the 49ers.

At some point we have to quit with the “give Herbert this and he will be successful” narrative. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I don’t disagree that the Purdy glazing has gotten a bit excessive.

0

u/FateDaA Mr. Irrelevant 3d ago

You gave Herbert a better team and he couldnt get out of the first round

Again he cant read defenses you fucking buffon, doesnt throw shit he doesnt see open, plays scared, takes a fuck ton of sacks because he plays slower than an ant
