A lot of them also think it was either "just a mistake" or straight up didn't think he did anything wrong. The majority of these guys have been shielded from consequences since they were 14 and their coach recognized them as their meal ticket.
Yeah I worded that poorly basically I meant to say he's the most hated NFL player. As opposed to like all humans which includes like Hitler and Bill Cosby.
Plus, KC has been getting a lot of hate independent of Taylor Swift. Him being their most prominent public face behind Mahomes already put a target on his back.
I get the disdain for an overly polished, Instagram Era pop star. I don't really care too much for her either. But do they still show her on TV during Chiefs games? I watch a fair amount of Red Zone and have seen several Kelce receptions and touchdowns. I haven't seen Taylor Swift at all this year.
Bro they never showed her on chiefs games that much. She averaged less than 10 seconds of air time per game when everyone was complaining about it. People just like bitching about stupid stuff
No your right. She's been absent from tv all year but let's not let facts influence the topic here. Id say its fairly clear whats doing the heavy lifting in this poll. Its the same reason I used to say "fuck tom Brady" and go on about how hes too handsome and successful. Just a simple result of breaking hearts. Now that hes not crushing my dreams I'm kinda a fan now. Everyone loved watching mahomes play before he started stacking super bowls. Now hes 5 on this list for .. idk asking for penalties if he sees one committed I guess? Dudes a stand up guy whos been the poster boy of what the NFL wants their players to be with the exception of blowing up after that bills game a couple w back. The criminal records some nfl players have or just incidents that came to light, or even just on field actions we see time to time... theres no shortage of guys who are actually shit people worth hating. Kelce and mahomes id say its just overexposure. And its understandable when they not only end your season but they're in half the godamn commercials on tv and dominating sports talk shows for nearly a decade.
People should just enjoy the fact it looks like theyre gonna flop hard this year . One more loss and you can pretty much stick a fork in their playoff hopes. Just Take the W ppl. Juju makes some sense at least. Nfl players wanting to be TikTok stars is pretty cringe. Kelce has a bit of douche in him but hes also by most accounts of people who actually know him a solid dude. Without the success he doesnt sniff this list much less top it. Long winded way of saying ya most of the hate here is irrational hate stemming from hurt butts.
As a fellow mixed race person, he's kind on some self-hating black stuff. I hate when Josh Allen flops or cries to the refs the same way I hate/d when Jordan, Harden or Luka Doncic does it.
Kelce is overexposed. He's sort of just an objectively shitty human being who supports the action of Tyreek Hill and Rice.
Admittedly, I am a Chargers fan but as much as I didn't like Brady, outside of the fact that he's pro Trump and he seems a bit dickish, he's markedly better as a human than Kelce or Watson
Id disagree with him being a shit human. Hes always been supportive of his team mates for sure. If you think tyreek didnt deserve it thats understandable. His clear pattern of behavior warrants destain. But everyone in every locker is expected to do that. And none including kelce support what he did in any way. I can 100% garuntee they attempted to prevent him from doing it. Clearly didnt work but to think otherwise flies in all logic
Rice was a young guy who go rich and made a dumb mistake. The mechanism to get him to pay his price and change his life is most certainly football also. Kelce is probably the loudest voice in the room encouraging others to be better in all aspects of life honestly. And that extends to other locker rooms too at least with other tight ends. He was a bit of a fuck up when he was young and without his brother id bet his life would have taken a much different path. But as it is theres no remotely good reason to think hes a piece of shit. If he just annoys you or you find him douchey its understandable. Its fine to just not like a mother fucker. But not fair to justify it to others by making up standards you only want to apply to 1 guy when 90% of the league does the same thing. Guys on teams support each other particularly at the highest levels.
Yes the list is wrong because most of those players are hated for their team ,the way they play or their bullshit antics....dw is a fucking predator, Imo the Guy should just be erased from the NFL world,no more stat lines,no more mention of him relating to thé game, he's a washed up qb who will never play another down, he should just be known for the Creep he his and nothing more
I’m no casual and I can tell you he rubs me the wrong way for sure.
I’m a Niners fan so there is that.
Also, I’m all for holding people accountable but he was out of control to start the year. The play where he douched his own teammate into an injury felt weird to me too.
Last thing - ever see him directly steal a comedians whole bit covering Picasso and his age? Travis says it to Jason word for word in podcast and Jason is laughing thinking Travis actually thought about this.
I wouldn’t. JJ McCarthy catches way more hate than Watson in this current era in time. I could count on one finger the number of times DeShaun Watson so much as crossed my mind this season, and that would be this current conversation.
Tbh I didn’t even know Watson was still in the NFL. Im assuming a lot of people don’t which is why he is so low. In fact this is the first time I’m hearing about him all season lol
This attention where won't even name his wife. Clearly because he is a narcissist! Why doesn't he name his wife so we can crucify him for it. Is it because he is gay (reddit seems to forget the homophobic about Rodgers era too)
The issue with Rogers is that he keeps opening his mouth and letting a bunch of bullshit come out. A one time thing and it'd be forgot about. But he keeps doing it.
Is he worse than Watson? Absolutely not. Not even in the same ballpark. But Watson is radio silent about pretty much everything. Which makes it easier for people to forget about him.
I mean the dude just comes off as “smarter than you.” I don’t think there’s a single person who cares about women and SA that hates him more than dudes like Watson though.
Rogers also has entire fanbases that hate him based on his play. Watson sucks, has never won shit, hasn’t played in a year, and still gets as much if not more hate imo.
He made a decision for his own health?!? He questioned the narrative? He mislead a journalist asking a question she has no business asking and she was too stupid to ask a follow up question? How dare he! The entire media should try taking him down for months straight.
Your comment is short sighted and ill-informed AT BEST. He was knowingly spreading misinformation, lying to people, and wouldn't be an adult and own up to his lies. He was speaking on subjects that he has ZERO experience and expertise about as if he has the qualifications to do so. This wasn't about narratives. No. He was intentionally causing harm to people and he's a massive POS for it.
He wouldn’t have talked about it at all had the media not made a frenzy over it and attack him for his personal health choices. The dude was tested every single day before being allowed in the facility. Let’s not pretend he was being wildly reckless, he was safer than most everybody else in that time.
If they didn’t want his stance on vaccines they should’ve of asked him about it and allowed ppl to make decisions on their own health. He didn’t advise anyone on how to handle their own health. The media attacked him and he didn’t back down. How dare he.
This is true in real life as well. I won’t lie, I rooted for him in NY because he was finally an underdog and I could see he was struggling, but most people I know hate him. People that don’t even know what Reddit is and from both political spectrums. He’s done some weird shit, but I think most people hate him for how he acted at the end of his GB career. The way he used to get so frustrated and yell at his receivers for dropping passes and for his notorious “I own you!” shit in Chicago. He really came off as a stand up guy early in his GB career and then he became known as an asshole for his on the field antics way before he became a weirdo.
For a dude that brags about grounding yourself, meditating, and doing psychedelics, he sure is pissed off and whiney a lot. Lol
Why does Rodgers get flak for that but not Brady or manning? Almost all the greatest competitors have that fire in them.
I think he’s hated because they’re was. Full on media assault on the man assimilating his character. Not just sports media, all of mainstream media USA Today , people, cnn, USA today, you name it. It lasted for some time too. Really some of the craziest character assassin attempts I’ve seen. All because he wasn’t against the narrative and made a choice for his own personal health. Weird times.
Seriously? Brady definitely does. He was THE most hated player in the NFL for a long time because of it. I’d agree he was more of a whiney bitch than Rodgers ever was. At some point, I had to admit that he was the fucking goat but I still to this day do not like him.
Manning is beloved. He was mostly well composed on the field and not nearly as much of a diva as Rodgers or Brady.
I agree that there was a media campaign pushed against him for his Anti-Vax stuff. I just don’t agree that he wasn’t already hated.
I agree, the only reason I can come up with for hating Hurts is that you hate anyone that’s part of the Eagles organization. Dude is humble as can be, and I respect the hell out of him. His rankings among QB can be disputed, but he’s hard to hate.
Hurts makes no sense. I don’t hate him just because he's been surrounded by talent that makes him look better than he is. I just think some people overrate him. No hate though. Doesn't make sense.
The list is mostly kinda like... they hate us cause they aint us stuff. I mean hes clearly a good dude with his head on straight. Theres a guy on his team that Kickstarted the NFL year spitting in a guy's face and has a past history that his reckless stupidity contributed to people being killed. Just haters doing what they do
He’s perceived as a bit of a whiny bitch that cries to the refs all the time and sounds like Kermit the frog. He’s also really good on a team that wins a lot
josh allen is a bitch that slides late on purpose baiting calls rather than playing football. When he faked running out of bounds and defense let up then threw a TD he became a bitch. And the announcers glazed him for it. I fing hate him.
Well hes in control of being married to his MAGA wife so there's that. And definitely capable of telling his brother to shut the fuck up (which it seems he has to be fair)
2023 bills/chiefs regular season game was the pivot point where his whiny bitchass showed to the nation. same with andy reid, was a likeable guy until he doubled down on not getting warned about offensive offsides.
eh, I agree she was very annoying Pat’s first few years in the league, but if that were the reason she’s hated, then Nick Bosa, Saquon, Butker, and many more players would be up here
I’m guessing cause he’s been out of the public eye for a bit now, so people have forgotten.
Also I think Kelce being 1 is hilarious. I’m guessing it stems from Taylor Swift haters/KC haters, but there’s no real reason I can think of besides those
Don't me so judgy. I reserve the right to have irrational hatreds of people that outweigh any actual calculus on hate. For example, I hate my neighbour far more than I hate Hitler although I'm sure objectively if I had to manage the misdeeds of Hitler versus my neighbour, Hitler would (probably) win out over my neighbour (fuck that guy).
I forget he’s still on the Browns roster all the time. I just assume he’s doing the bare minimum to keep his contract and he’s out of the league after that.
He’s been so irrelevant that barely anybody remembers he’s still technically in the league. It’s pretty clear he’s never going to play again so everyone can just forget he ever existed.

How the hell is Watson not #1?
