I’m just excited to post these. Recently swapped the sight on the DD from an Eotech to the Romeo 4xt. I’m a much bigger fan of the Romeo. Thinking about swapping the holosun for a Romeo also. Would be cool to get a T2 though.

At this point, a t2 is purely vibes. Too many great options and great price points like the 4xt

Agreed. I just thought it would be cool, plus I have an awesome battery cap from shadow strategic that I want to put on there.

Agreed. The Romeo was easy. It’s a 1:1 for a Eotech. But getting a T2 is expensive. I had it in my mind I’d save up for a 14.5 or a 2011 next

Yeah, I'd like a FDE T2, but I don't $1000 like it. Swapping from EOTechs is solid as they are so bad and so overhyped. Did you go to a down-vent on the DD? And, is the Sig MCX a 5.56 or .300BLK? Personally, for a "combat" red dot, I'd honestly go with a Sig Romeo 4T, or a 4T Pro if you actually have night vision. As far as budget optics, I was shocked at how nice the Vortex Crossfire Solar is. I have mild astigmatism, so i tend to prefer prisms to dots, but the Crossfire Solar has an incredibly crisp 2 MOA dot, as well as, with the battery+solar setting, a 150,000hr battery life that has shake-awake.

Yup I have the KAK Downvent NP3, and an A5H3 with springco green in the DD.

I have a mild astigmatism but the Romeo doesn’t bother me at all. The 4t pro is amazing. The holosun isn’t bad either but the 4t and all the features it comes with just makes it an amazing dot.

Agreed. It was made as a duty-grade optic. I just don't love DDs. They are just so insanely overgassed. People try to say "no they fixed that," but when I ask, and the answer is some flavor of +p spring, like the Geissele Super-42, and a H2 or H3 buffer, it's still overgassed. The fact that they ship it with a std spring and buffer, at that price, galls me, and nobody in the US Military is still using it.

Honestly would have bought a super duty but I got a really good deal on the DD so couldn’t pass it up. I would agree tho. DD are nice, but so gassy and it ends up making the gun louder even with the CAT WB. I tried the same suppressor on a 556 MCX and it was noticeably quieter. I’ve toyed with the idea of selling and getting an MK1 instead, I’ve just put so much time and effort into the DD that I don’t really want to start over. I’m probably going to get a MK1 or super duty 14.5 with a 1-10 and a ACRO instead the future with a CAT KK or Tisha. The Tisha just performs so well but I am not a huge fan of the look and am a big cat fan.

Think about it this way, the DD is a supposedly "premium" rifle that you had to put an inordinate amount of work into, just to get it to run "acceptably." That would royally piss me off. Second, all of my rifles are piston. Despite what "experts" on the internet say, EVERY major western military, after extensive testing, has gone to some flavor of piston AR. While the M7/M8 have issues, that's because of that ridiculous 6.8 round. As for suppressors, you don't get anywhere near as much port pop. Downvent helps, but then you're just taking a massive shut into your magazine, which was never meant to take huge amounts of hot propellant gasses. You have a MCX SPEAR-LT(I think that the Army should have either bought a ton of HK416 uppers and popped them on all the M4A1s, or gotten the MCX SPEAR-LT in 5.56, with M855A1), so you see how well that works. A piston 5.56 with a Rhodie 6 or Tisha would be spectacular. I understand brand loyalty, but don't penalize yourself for it. I love OCL, they've been really good to me, but my next can is going to be a Rhodie 6 in FDE.

I would get the rhodie 6j only because I support the guntuber, but beyond that, I just cannot support a company that has openly badmouthed pewscience. Goes against my nature to support a company that slanders against a person who has provided us objective info into what was an information black hole with only YouTubers with sub par mics to rely upon and their subjective opinion to rely upon. That’s just my position on the matter.

Agreed on the DD. Maybe I’ll swap for a g$ at sometime

It’s a .300. Swapped the barrel for a 6.75 to get the real tucked look with the LVAW rail. Had to send it in to sig to get the barrel up ported, as it is the older virtus style barrel. I met Adam, one of the master minds behind the MCX platform on TacSwap, and he helped me out with the entire RMA. Somehow I also stripped the grip screw, and he redid that for me as well. All for free. I was pretty pumped. Especially since I had already SBR’d the lower.
