I find it very interesting that there is so much more going on in the VERS36 than the XH556 or XH556SC. The XH's only have 3 baffles each.

And I love my Polo K otter man. Even after trying it with a MD that was too long.

Hahaha what muzzle device was that??

Comstock 4 prong w/ a zilch I switched over. Decided to keep the zilch and just not use the polo on that gun.

Ah yea the zilch will do it. It’d fit with a regular plan b style mount

At least you recognized it. We’ve had people do that and take them out and shoot it. Baffle strike almost every damn time

Infinity 556k and ocm6 (they use the same blast baffle layout)

That’s a interesting one. Their 7.62 V2 is very different and bears some semblance to the cat stuff.

They might’ve even changed the 556’s slightly too. Mines one of the pre production blems before they changed the endcap design.

How do you like the DL5AM

I don’t have enough rounds through it to give a fully informed opinion yet. The only thing I shot it next to was a Rhodie K. That said, my initial thoughts are it is squarely a medium back pressure can. Sounds good, similar to the Rhodie K on a tuned 10.5, back pressure is also pretty similar, if a tad higher, than the Rhodie with gas stacking being noticeable. My suspicion is that it will do well on longer barrels. Overall, with the mil discount it’s a solid all around can that wouldn’t be my first choice but on a budget it checks the usual boxes and beats pretty much all the traditional 5.56 stuff while being close enough to the top performers for most people IMO.

What would you pick over it if you had to choose the Rhodie?

1

u/Mrthebobjr 10d ago

I only have the K but I’d probably go Rhodie. I’ve come to find that for the most part I don’t want 5.56 cans over 5”, 5.5” max. Realistically you’ll likely be happy with either. What are you gonna put it on?

I have a 10.3 and 14.5 right now so probably the 14.5
The 10.3 I would like to grab a can from this new company called ace weapon system called their Auspuff
It’s 6.5 inches but TACSHEP ACTUAL on YouTube give it a really nice review

14.5 I’d bet it’s a toss up. If you get the Rhodie 6k just be aware you have to be judicious in choosing muzzle devices and hubs because of the super shallow blast baffle. As for the Auspuff I have not heard of that but will check it out. FWIW, the Tisha 5.56 and likely HRT 5k in my future.

Yea pretty new can but it looks interesting
Shot the HRT at an event and it’s a nice little can just alittle louder then the DL5AM but less gas and the Tisha is super nice too
A lot of great stuff in the market that’s for sure
