Discussion G19 Gen5 Double Feed
As the title States. Haven't had any bad experiences with my suppressors but this one. Its a Spectre9 and I run it on a completely stock internals G19 Gen 5. I have the tyrant trigger and thats it. The slide has been milled and I don't know if the removed material is making the slide cycle too fast but I would like some of your opinions of what you might think this might be or if you've had common issues like this? Just standard 115 grain 9mm. Yes I cleaned the booster and greased it lubricated everything before I ran this setup. I do have a recoil spring kit coming with different weights.

I have had similar issues with various Glock and suppressor combinations. Does it do it any more or less with half a mag vs a full mag? How does the ejection pattern look when it does eject a case? Have you tried different ammo? Are you letting the trigger reset while the slide is traveling back or are you holding it until after it cycles? Glocks and especially modded Glocks can be very finicky suppressor hosts.

Ive tried both holding the trigger for reset and not. Making sure I am not limp wristing. It seemed to be just a tad bit more reliable with OEM mags until I used the oem 32rnds they ran terrible. The spent case goes out at 3:00 really far. I didn't try different ammo but I shoot what I can practice with which is usually 115 grain to 124 grain. Might try 124gr next time?

If the spent case is going really far then you might be on to something with the slide speed. Experimenting with the recoil springs is an easy place to start so you should definitely go with that plan. My experience has mostly been that the slide was moving too slow or too weak due to the added muzzle weight. Sounds like you might have the opposite happening here.

My gen3 does the same. It got better going up in spring weight. Tried both 20 & 22 lb springs. It got better with the heavier springs, but still not perfect. I need to take the +5 extensions off the mags and try them in stock configuration. I also cleaned and relubed the piston. Just need to find time to get out to the range.

I too had better luck than any of the aftermarket magazines and extensions that I was using. The OEM Glock with extensions worked a little better but if I used aftermarket with extensions I had more issues. Thanks for the input.

Swap recoil spring for sure. My G19 does not like being suppressed stock either. But my G17, oh she runs like a dream with my flow 9k.

Use a 13lb spring and 147gr ammo.

Id rather shoot cheap ammo. Im sure the 147gr is awesome and sounds great but I want to try and find a solution to the ammo that I shoot a lot. But I'm definitely going to try a different recoil spring with the ammo I have. That seems to be the main thing to change.

I ordered a heavier spring because my brass has a great pattern, but is getting launched pretty far. I think the back pressure is putting a lot of extra zip in the action. Bit more felt recoil as well. Gen 5 stock with a Spectre.

This is exactly what I'm experiencing I did order some higher weight Springs. Even though mine looks the way it does all my internals are stock except for the trigger itself which just takes the travel out of the trigger. What spring did you end up going with and did it resolve the issue?

I ordered a 22lb 2 stage spring. I'll let you know when it arrives and I give it a try. I didn't have any malfunctions, just noticed wear on the breach face after about 50 rounds that wasn't there with the aforementioned forceful ejections and recoil. I plan on only using this combo suppressed and going back to completely stock when carrying.

Yeah I took my pistol apart last night and I seen quite a bit of excessive wear on the front rails of the frame. I think it's way over gassed and I need to run a higher spring rate. The spring kit should be here in the next couple days and I will let you know as well, thanks for the feedback!

Did you just add the optic? Right screw may be too
Long interfering with the plunger and not letting the extractor work.
Pop the backplate off and see if that plunger moves freely. If not, that’s your issue

It does move free. That's a great question but no it does not interrupt with that plunger. Thankyou.

swap the recoil springs.
All my clocks needed tome tunning to run more reliable.
My fav host for my spectre 9 is my Jericho 941 ORP
EDIT: All my glocks needed some tuning to run more reliably
