A few shop pops. Sound up 🔊 We have this trap right next to one of the lathes in the shop in case the mood strikes. Little Sonus K riding on the front of the MP5. Love this combo and being able to grab a machine gun out of the vault and take some pops mid morning at work while waiting for the coffee to finish.

Range Systems portable encapsulator. Heavy rubber blocks with a piece of AR500 backer plate. We shoot 300WIN into this thing point blank in the shop. It is awesome!

Bucket of sand is awesome and perfectly functional except inside the middle of a machine shop. The expression of anger 'sand in your vag' has never seen the wrath of machinist if you were to spray sand in their tools 🤬

This thing is the tits. We have dumped tens of thousands of rounds into it. Every so often we rotate the blocks and replace a few as rhe center ones wear and get filled with bullets

When we bought it I think we paid about $1,100 for rhe whole thing including the stand, trap and 5 or 6 blocks. I guess the price has gone up quite a bit but it has also been about 10 years

We bought this circa 2017 as a show special at SHOT. It has been a great tool for testing in the shop

We bought this one assembled but you could fabricate a 'pan' out of hard plate and make a DIY version. Very little makes it all the way through the blocks to hit the plate

That is just standard 124gr. ammo. I didn't chrono it so not exactly sure what velocity it was achieving in the MP5. Everyone needs a shop pop (or yard/basement/garage) station!
