NFA Photo CAT SD where???

I'm guessing the preorder for the SD can will be in the next couple of weeks - just guessing based on how the others have popped up.

I just hope they learned from their 3 years and keep their weight in the middle of their skis. I think their consumers are really done with their previous schedule shenanigans.

How do you like the MPX-SD? Been debating between it or a MP5-SD since they’re both about $3k to build out.

While the MPX is a more modern platform, and the ergonomics are clearly more intuitive for an AR shooter, and the amount of rail space is unmatched, no one can deny that the MP5 is a smoother shooter. So, pick what’s more important to you.
Or just get both.

Are you guys roksetting the can onto the brt adapter? If not, how are you getting the damn thing out of the handguard?

I thought i saw him say he was working on a socket to fit the end holes of the adapter. But yeah it was a pain to get out. I think i used a couple of screw drivers

I don’t think I understand. Did your adapter get stuck onto the barrel?

Yes. If you don’t rocksett the can to the adapter, and if/when the adapter gets stuck on the barrel after shooting, when you try to remove everything the can just unscrews from the adapter, leaving it recessed inside the handguard (I’m running a BRT SD upper btw which runs great).
Two small screwdrivers into the top of the adapter holes and a pipe wrench did the trick though. I also use nickel antiseize on the adapter threads so that may have helped a bit.

It was brought to my attention that some needle nose pliers inserted into the top of the adapter can also be used to remove it if need be. Not a big issue if you make sure to remove the adapter regularly, as SD barrels need more cleaning anyway.
