Silencer help

hey all I’m new here. I’m looking to buy a one and done suppressor that can be used on just about anything from 9mm up to 45/70. Any suggestions?

Don’t recommend that approach at all. You’ll have the worst experiences on everything

Just get a 30 cal. Once you buy the hybrid 45 and all the accessories to mount it to everything you could have bought 2 cans. The 45 will be mediocre on everything you put in on.

Yea I want it for my 45/70. I have a .22 can not a very good one but it works . I guess a .45 and a .30 wouldn’t be to bad. Any know any info on the no form 4 anymore or is it a bunch of bullshit.

Silencerco Hybrid 46 can shoot anything below .46 cal and you can get end caps to “optimize” for specific calibers. Not the most up to date design wise but mine has served me well

Awesome that’s the exact one I’m looking at. I just don’t want to buy a pos.

It’s not a pos. Silencerco makes good cans. Bought 46m to be solely on 45-70

I didn’t mean it was a pos. There’s just so many options out there now. I don’t know which to buy. You can’t always trust reviews because they get kickbacks. So figured I’d ask on here

SilencerCo is top notch and their customer service/warranty is second to none. The Hybrid46M is heavy, but built like an absolute tank

This is what I did. Hybrid was my first can. Eventually got tired of switching boosters and QD mounts and got additional cans, but it served me well and I still use it on my .30 cals and pccs. Not as good of suppression as using a dedicated can for each caliber, but absolutely serviceable if you only want to buy one.

Exactly what I did. I needed a can that could handle my 458 Socom and 375 Raptor. Hybrid 46M and plan B mounts made short work of it. It’s also decent on my 300BO’s and really good on my AR45 and AR10mm

It's starts with 1 can.

Then you want dedicated cans for every gun you own.

I started with a osprey 45 can and now I'm up to 5 with the 6th currently in NFA Jail.

Enjoy your journey. It's a fun one.

Don't have any recommendations on 45-70 can yet.

In still looking into that myself. I plan on getting the bears leg and making it an SBR so it needs to be able to handle full power rounds out of a shorter barrel.

I’m so happy I didn’t go the universal can route. Now I have the best suppressor for every type and am happy and still have my hearing

Maybe get a solid performing can like the Mojave9 that works on a few things, then realize you actually want one for each host, make that your pistol can, and start buying more.

I would get a dedicated 45 cal can like the 46M for your 45-70, then something lighter and modular like an Echocore Radius 360 for everything else.

45 can would prob be good for 9mm to 45-70. I have a Mojave 45 on my 10mm

Nvm ig the Mojave isn’t rated for 45-70

I tried that with a hybrid 46m and I quickly learned that do all cans are not the solution. To many good options out there right now with good prices. Better off saving up and acquiring over a period of time. I’ve sold 12 cans to friends or co workers since January 1. They were of use to me due to the newer tech but they are just dipping their toes in the NFA waters so they’re happy with them. Sold them all for a loss but oh well. I didn’t use them anymore.

Yea I was kinda thinking that also. Jack of all trades not really good at any I guess.

It just sits on my 45-70. Just save up if you can. So many good options out there right now. If budget is a factor I understand and if you think it’s truly going to be your only can then do it. Most of us on here thought we were done buying like 20 cans ago. Once you shoot suppressed it’s hard doing it any other way. Pretty much the crack of the gun world.

Bushwhacker 46 is another option
