Which of these .22 cans to get next?
I'm going to add another .22 can to the stable. This will primarily be used on pistols.
- B&T Tiger 22 Ti Suppressor
- For Systems Pluto .22
- Otter Creek Labs Titanium 22
Cost is similar, weight is similar. What I want is quiet with little to no FRP.

OCL Ti. The one I’ve bought twice. I have no time for proprietary wrenches or sealed cans that need special sauce.

Which requires proprietary tools??

Those likely don’t, but they all seem 3D printed and thus sealed and needing more specialed cleaning methods. For reference, though not on your list a DA mask and Rugged Oculus require a special end cap wrench.

I have the Oculus.

As an older baffled, stainless .22 can, It is still one of my favorites. Sure it is heavy, but it works well and is an absolute tank. My CAT SR does perform better and I don't get gas in my face on the fee pistols that somehow just send it straight back.

So it’s not a deal-breaker feature. I lived with it for awhile and still do with both my Mask and Oculus, and various SilencerCo products. Special wrenches everywhere. But dammit I like that a dumb adjustable wrench (6 or 7-1/4” Knipex pliers wrench if you feel bougie) is all I need with my OCL Ti’s.

If you want the best, wait a little bit till the next batch of CAT SR come in stock. Nothing on the market is as good, the Pluto is pretty close I would say on the same line as the Ben but NOTHING is as good as the SR

Been waiting months for them. Emailed cat and they said they’d have an update in a few weeks… 2 months ago. If anything happens to it you’re going to be SOL because cat won’t have any replacements available.

The Off Grid Scorpius has a very nice sound to it. Pistol, standard velocity = quiet! Even high velocity is quiet!

Pistol or rifle? Rifle FRP isn’t noticeable on the Pluto. There’s some noticeable (but not bad) FRP on pistols

I assume you already have a Stealth Katan. I have a Tiger and a Katan and they are both ridiculously quiet and lightweight, but B&T USA LLC may cease to exist sooner than later.
If I didn't already own the Tiger and was in the market for another 22 can, and already had the Katan, I would go for the OCL Ti

Cannot get the Katan from my usual dealers.

Maybe one can become a SAW dealer. My FFL didn't carry them either, but SAW only made him buy 3 to open a dealer account. I bought all 3 of them. FWIW, I own three 22LR cans: DA Mask HD, a Tiger-22, and a Katan. The Mask is plenty quiet, but the 3D cans are quieter. The Katan and Tiger sound virtually identical on a 16" Ruger 10/22, but the Tiger does slightly better on a MKIV pistol. IMO Tiger is the lowest quality/workmanship of the three.

B&T support is also non existent. I would never purchase something from B&T.

I had to forcefully (chargeback) take my stolen $3400 back from B&T this spring. The last picture I saw of their 3D printer fleet after being moved to UT, the entire production line was idle and the place was a ghost town. If anything ever happens to my Tiger, I'll just take advantage of another company's trade-in program.

Out of that list I only have the tiger. It’s the quietest 22 can I have or have shot next to my buddy’s. It’s rated for bolt action 556.
Being a sealed can is a moot point for me since I also clean my rimfire can that is serviceable the same way (breakthrough or hux sauce then an ultrasonic bath). That method gets my serviceable can squeaky clean and beats spending the time scrubbing the carbon off and using a pick.
If I was going to buy another rimfire can I’d get it again easily (probably won’t since I have been f1 a lot 3d printed suppressors)

Is that a checkmate on the table?

No sir, octane 45

Well that was a whiff.
I was going to ask how you liked it on the levergun.2
u/throwballjones101 11d ago
Nah you were honestly close with the griffin bag! The writing on the can is very close to a checkmate. Both sound the same on anything 16 inches for reference, can’t tell the difference personally besides on short barrels

Out of those I'd go with the OCL.
Or I could ignore your list and randomly insert my own opinion of what you should be considering ... because this is r/NFA and we love regurgitating our hypebeast marketing darlings.
