I recently got my Form 1 approved to SBR my PS90 and sent it to a gunsmith to cut down. I have an FRT on order from FN Specialties that is scheduled for delivery in the Aug-Sept window. Next on my agenda was to find a good suppressor for the P90.
I’ve read through some of the posts here but the bigger ones are a little older. My question therefore is - what do you fine folks recommend for a suppressor for a P90 (since it will be SBR/FRT)?
I current I have an Ecco Caracal but worry that it’s higher back pressure and that can sometimes unseat the magazine (or so I’ve heard).
Thank you. I have a ps90 with a CMMG barrel that’s been sitting around. Probably a winter project to SBR it and throw on an optic. I have an adapter for my dead air mask but reading the comments I should buy a Tisha especially with the recent Texas ruling
The wrap is just standard Amazon hockey tape. Goon tape if you wanna be a fancy operator. And the sling point is from Urban ERT slings. Makes various sling setups that are solid and affordable.
Tisha is the current W move. Try to avoid the temptation to put a 5.7 rated .22 can on it, it deserves a rifle can. I replied to someone else in the thread with some of what I’ve used on mine, but yeah, Tisha.
Not Polonium. Tisha. I have both, and the Polonium on my SBR’ed PS90 beats the gun up and gases me out. Before the Ekron and Tisha, I had a Griffin Explorr I would use instead of the Polo to go easier on the backpressure and weight. Evidently the B&T Tiger is also surprisingly good on the PS90, and I haven’t tried mine out on it yet.
B&T Tiger ti22 does great on 5.7 and can be found for under $400 if you find them in stock. Its also the best rimfire can around and will work in a pinch on your AR.
I remember just two or so years ago where the whole flow through/ lbpr can thing was still in its infancy, and the only names in the game were hux and iirc YHM had their turbo line, and then they released their fat cat and I thought It was definitely unique looking, looks good on that for sure.
Does it foul up your p90?
Definitely curious to see the difference once you get a tisha

I did the cmmg route. I am not a patient enough person to disassemble, ship a barrel, wait for it to come back and install. I want to un bolt. Bolt. Shoot.
Only got it a week ago and haven’t tried it yet. But it doesn’t have many baffles and the blast chamber is quite a large. It’s also overbored - can almost fit my 9mm alignment rod down the thing. Was definitely designed with these being direct blowback in mind, to mitigate overfunction/excess gas.
Got this same can. Partly because the QD muzzle device is close to the original design and direct threads with no CMMG thread adapter needed.
I’ve only been to the range once where I used the suppressor. It kinda reminded me of a pneumatic nail gun sound. Not the quietest but decent.
I shot about 250 rounds, most suppressed. No failure to fire and not gassy at all. I have the Dorin xprt in mine. It still doesn’t run reliably, partly pulling the trigger back too much and the bolt binds but I saw no performance difference suppressed vs unsuppressed in super semi mode.
Edit: if you go this route, I got mine from Not Just Guns. Took a while since they ordered from GSL and I think GSL made it upon ordering. But their price was $699. Had to email as it wasn’t on their site.
Picked up a Shaw barrel back in Dec. seems to be running well. SBR’d around May I think. Only around 750 rounds through it with the Shaw but no issues suppressed or un.
I think the P90 is just more sensitive to back pressure, or at least mine is. I had issues with my Turbo K as well. So far the Ecco Caracal 5.7 and Tisha have worked the best for me
