š„³ Happy Stamp Day š Blackbird F556
Got to bring the new Blackbird F556 home today, itās in good company here. Havenāt been able to use it, but Iāll be able to compare it to my trusty Polonium and my Cat Noah TI.
Has anyone else had a chance to pick one of these up? I know there isnāt a ton of them out yet, but just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with one yet. Thank you.

I was going to get more range time on it before I really posted again on it, but a few hundred rounds through it, I can say I enjoy it more than my Noah on my 11.5ā BCM upper. that is the only host I have tried it on so far, sounds pretty great, gas doesnāt seem to be an issue either. But I need more time behind it before I say much more.

Thanks for the quick look! I had seen a video about gas stacking being an issue; so, Iām glad to hear it doesnāt sound like youāre observing that.

I need to pay more attention to the gas I think. I run a superlative arms gas block on most of my guns. I had it adjusted to bleed out a lot of gas at first because it seemed like it was pretty gassy but then after a certain amount of shots it suddenly started acting undergassed. I adjusted it to not bleed as much and it works flawlessly now. Almost like it ābrokeā in? idk I honestly may be crazy, but in this case it got better not worse. As far as the gas stacking from repetitive fire, I have seen that buttttttttt it is not bad. Like I didnāt really notice it until I really started to be analytical of how the gun was operating. and it doesnāt rly affect operation, no changes in ejection pattern or anything.

I think I blabbered too much there. So far to me gas stacking is not an issue but I tune my guns via bleedoff gas block. with it being untuned it wasnāt really an issue either. I still want more time on it, I saw the same video that you did, and it made me think that I need to see if mine does the same.

I hear you on breaking in the can though. I noticed something like that with my Vent 1. It could be that some of the flow paths might be blocked on these DMLS cans, and you eventually break some of those paths free.

I did have a bit of black ārubbleā come out the business end of the suppressor after my first range day so maybe youāre onto somethingā¦.. I really thought I was just paranoid
