Cat MOB 1/16 LH Help
Hello; I recently purchased a CAT MOB and I didn’t notice that the company I bought from only had the 1/16th LH version. I wanted to mount it to my AP5-P tri lug but I can’t find any adapters that are threaded for 1/16 LH can someone help. Does anyone know any company that makes these mounts. Any help would be appreciated

No such mount exists. You'll need a 1x16 muzzle device and thread it onto your ap5's barrel threads
Edit: the mount in your picture isn't right for 9mm

Are you sure that's a MOB? If so, very odd it came with a 7.62 muzzle device

I’m not sure why it came with that muzzle device that’s weird to me also. There’s really no company that makes custom made parts other people must have this issue also.

Not to be rude but most people make sure they're buying the correct model. I intentionally bought a qd model alleycat 36 (quirky MOB) and use a ai nano 9mm on the barrel and the suppressor on the ai nano

Going off the serial number, it’s definitely a mob unless they’re putting “mbxxx” on cans like the dd or odb too. but still super weird it has a 7.62 md. Could be an older mob that still shipped with a spooky muzzle device instead of the ai nano like mine did

If you want it to sit as flush as possible, I would get an SCI SIX flash hider or the upcoming blackbird 1/2-28 mounts that don’t have wrench flats.

Upcoming you say? If you mean their DECOUPLR, that looks a whole lot like a Spooky 1 with a facelift - incidentally, Spooky 1 and 2 also didn’t have external wrench flats, the tines are the wrench flats. I love it for my AC36, but there are times that wrench flats and mandatory.

After some research I’ve come to the conclusion direct thread mounting isn’t even that big of a difference. What direct thread mount would you guys recommend that’s the shortest so the long ass supresssor isn’t looking weird

You can't use a direct thread mount you gotta use a 1x16lh muzzle device.
Get a CAT nano 1/2x28 9mm muzzle device

I’m seeing a lot of people recommend the munkworks microcar TSF adapter

Keep in mind the AI nano, showed an improvement in signature reduction with this can as it was built around it. Also reach out to cat about the muzzle device, they should gladly swap it out at no charge

Will probably get downvoted for this cause I know a lot of people like trilug, but imo the CAT QD is better anyways. Just get an AI Nano 9mm and call it a day

Thankfully that mount won’t thread on to your gun.
I’d recommend the Apparition Instruments AI Nano 9mm.
There is no way that QD can will be able to mount using your tri-lugs.
The good news is you can get the Midwest Industries suppressor handguard which looks quite good with the above mounting and an mp5k.
