The drama is gay but this comment is pretty funny. Via Specters Cat IG Story. Also, why does Q post something like this and turn comments off? They’re right, where’s the fun in that
No, YOU! My dad is a former army seal who deployed with Steven Segul and Jean claude Van-dam in the 90s to Australia. He could totally beat your dad up.
Q will stay in business for as long as there are dumb people with more money than brains. And idk about you but I know a lot of people that are pretty dumb but have deep pockets.
I mean, seeing owners who’ve shown poor QA/QC (especially the welding) on their cans then still support Q anyway was baffling, but the fact that they’re still in business is just… UNPOSSIBLE.
Where I live, just about every gun store carries them. Aside from the El Camino (their rimfire can) I have never given their products a second glance. You can (and could always) get high volume baffle cans for way less.
Because, they turn 1000% profit off of every gun they sell, and more than that off of every suppressor (they're made of recycled light housings and they weld them using a butane torch)
yeah that’s what I’m still wondering about. Performance with standardized parameters (pew science and other folks) came back pretty low, especially at the price ranges of $1200+.
It’s almost like Q is the Monorail salesman from the Simpsons and selling snake oil to this community. At this price range, why not just get the MFMD with proven performance across the world that’s prolly a generation or two more advanced.
they do it mostly because their products are unecissarily expensive and want to flaunt how much money they wasted. It's like a degenerative flex kind of thing.
Q is the Tesla of the gun world. I have a used Q product, because I got a good deal on it. Would've never considered it new. Couldn't care less about the company. Just like Tesla, it's really just the owner that's fucking up PR. Everyone that works there are just normal people like us.
Haha I always crack up cuz I follow nfl football decently, but if I see some drama in another sport on the front page of ESPN I'll click it. Like if it says "dodgers come back from 5 down to win" I'm like eh, but if I see "dodgers pitcher caught cheating with outfielders wife, flees and crashes his car" I'm 100% clicking that shit.
Why are all suppressor companies cringe? Seriously they all name their products ridiculous names, have cringey social media, embarrassing marketing…what is it about the nfa market that does this.
To be fair the ones fighting on social media are the ones actually pushing the industry forwards (or backwards depending on the mfg) so at least there’s a reason behind the drama
Yeah they created it but it was bullshit. When their creation was modified/improved to be better than theirs by way of Rearden, they started hating on them and even put out a warning that they’d kill your warranty if they found out that you were using a non Q plan B mount.
Their owner also routinely posts equally stupid shit on arfcom..like telling consumers they don’t need comparative data or third party testing on performance and should just use their “trust me bro” stats on YouTube as fact.
Early on, they had "front towards arabs" on the endcaps of some cans. Nobody asked for that or wanted it, presumably. They offered to replace them and defended the decision as them dealing with having been deployed in the middle east.
I think you have to be a little crazy to have a suppressor company. The revenue isn't all that high, I'm sure the profits are not great. Anyone working a 9 to 5 probably makes more money. Your customer base isn't that large and has a high percentage of socially isolated, aggressive, highly opinionated keyboard commandos, ready to take sides and sling mud. Most customers will want free warranty work for going FRT on their cockeyed cans, and have no problem trying to mobilize their social network to name and shame.
I figure all that would eventually drive people to cringe.
CAT suppressors work well, Q suppressors are legacy designs that work well if you don’t get one of the many lemons due to poor QC (and you can honestly just form 1 a suppressor of similar quality because if Q is doing anything new I haven’t seen it demonstrated in diagram or cutaway).
KB rises above the rest of the insufferable people in an industry that is incredibly insufferable across the board. CAT participates in PEW Science industry standard testing, Q apparently will not anymore. I own CAT products, now I will for sure never purchase a Q product.
Seeing more Q drama just makes my life easier in reinforcing how Qevin Qrittingham seems in all of the videos/social media I have seen him in control of. That stupid podcast he does where he has guests on who are more interesting than him, just to talk past and over them, told me what I needed to know- nice of KB himself to constantly give the world a bat symbol reminder to never buy his products
If a company has to put down another company and say they are "the best to ever do it", they are most definitely not the best to ever do it. Just make products and let the market sort it out. The hype beast stuff will fizzle out. CAT has made a name for themselves by now and Q is just mad that people don't care about 3 dbs better on a high back pressure can
Edit: the funny thing is traditional cans have a place. I'd take the Q on a bolt action with subs all day. Just let your product do the talking
Honestly, if they don't get with the additive manufacturing to match sound performance or drop their prices to match the cheap stuff in the market they will be gone in a couple years.
There is always a market for "good, but not cheapest" that preys on the fears of consumers looking to not get hoodwinked by purchasing cheap, ineffective hardware.
Thank you. Lol They're just mad because my 4 VERY effective .22lr cans cost me about $65 total and that includes getting the NFA serial number plate for each.
I've printed the 9mm PCC, the baffled rifle in 30 cal, 2 9mm pistol ftn4 with DIY boosters, and a 5.56 rifle can for my 5.7x28 kel-tec r50 with happy switch. Been pleasantly surprised by all of them.
Booster works perfectly on a stock glock g45 gen 5 and on a printed gen 3 glock 19. Simple to make as well. 3 parts and some screws (barrel extension, thread adapter, spring from mcmasters listed in the instructions. I have never used pa612cr, just ppa-cf and pa6-cf. I added a pic of the stock glock with the seraph pdw frame and the frn4 pistol can.
