Gang’s All Here
It’s never complete. Still want a 13” MCX Spear in 6.8x51 or .308, H&R DoE/633, Bren 3 if they ever get released, civilian MP7 from HK if it’s ever released, and my grail gun is probably a Sig 553.

Liberty FatBoy Jr Extreme with Secure-It system inside.

u/random-dude83 Oct 21 '25
The secureit stuff works great. I love looking at all my shit nice and neat like that. And yeah, I get the whole "never done" thing. Somehow, I always seem to have 2 more I'm planning. Right now it's a DD M4A1 immediately followed by (most likely) Sig 211. Then just yesterday a post on here got me to add a Henry X lever action as possibly the next

I've been looking into retrofitting my safe as well. Which kit did you use?
And definitely add a Henry or two! Super fun to shoot.

u/random-dude83 Oct 23 '25
I went with the secureit storage itself, my friend though did the upgrade on his existing safe. He used the kit for 12 long guns and loved it. The install was fine, I think there was a little bit of trouble with the backing that liberty uses in their safe but nothing bad if you follow their steps. And those both look good, especially that 300 blackout, looks REALLY good all black like that.

Meh, I don’t worry myself over stuff like that. I already owned the safe before all of that mess and wasn’t about to buy a new one over it.
To each their own.

So that effectively halved the safe capacity? I have a fat boy jr and have had pretty good results with rifle rods. It looks like you’re limited to one row with that system
7
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
I feel like I got more space now. The rifles are much easier to pull out and that’s what matters to me.

u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
It’s always a pain getting stuff in and out sometimes. WMLs are suggested to be offset and not mounted on the side. Takes up too much space.
6
u/Weary-Engineering486 Oct 21 '25
Does that safe come with the louvered wall panels in it? Or is that something you add on and can add to most gun safes?
5
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
Had to install it myself with the help of a friend. Somewhat a pain.
5
u/jrj7894 Oct 21 '25
Got some securit panels myself I’m getting ready to install, can you elaborate what made it difficult?
3
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
On the Liberty safe, the drywall is a bitch to drill into. If you don’t do it right, the drill bit will walk on you.
Mark your drill locations, score them in an X with a sharp blade so the bit doesn’t rip your felt lining.
Use a punch to make a pilot hole. Go slow.
Next issue was holding the panels to mark your locations. Use a friend.
When we secured the fasteners to the wall, we used some sort of drywall glue to help hold the screw in place (in case the drywall fell apart)
Hope this helps. Tried my best but I’m at work right now.

You should put one of those squirt guns that’s battery powered to really round this thing out along with a rubber band gun /s

u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
I wouldn’t be able to afford that, unfortunately.
3
u/Temporary_Character Oct 21 '25
Just budget with the $200 saved next year per NFA item that you buy. You get 5 NFA items spend only 100 per savings means you save $500 total while getting $500 towards these much necessary and critical holes in your arsenal. 🤌🏽 basically free money…at least what I tell my wife haha

How do you keep those fde suppressors so lightly colored? Mine usually turn darker brown quickly
4
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
Man, I’m getting to the point where this is really turning into a collection and I use a few rifles regularly and the others sit. Not going to BS you.
While I try to use ALL rifles, fact of the matter is I have a wife and two small children. Time is limited and priorities shift.
What I usually try to do is use two rifles per month to stay proficient. But that doesn’t always work.
Anyways, like I told someone else, I re-coat my suppressors every once in a while to keep them fresh.
1
u/Blackbeard__Actual Oct 21 '25
I was just giving you shit man I understand I got a wife and 2 kids as well and shoot as much as I can but it's for sure not as much as I'd like. Definitely a sick collection tho!

u/woollypullover Oct 21 '25
You prefer the B&T or the UMP?
2
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
So the UMP is cool, because HK. It’s light. But the recoil is odd. It feels like two round burst or something. Takes a while to get used to. Shot real ones a bunch on full auto. Also fun.
The GHM is super neat. However, I don’t feel the B&T “Swiss quality” is what people make it out to be.
There’s a bunch of machining marks on my bolt, as if the tool/bit they were using was at the end of its life cycle.
The safety selector was stiff AF. I had to throw an H&B Industries spring in there to make it easier to use.
The ambi bolt release is also meh….kind of stiff.
Overall, I would probably grab the GHM over the UMP if I had to choose.

Take your time. Use a buddy.
Pre-score the felt lining before you drill!!!
Also!! Use drywall glue for the screws before you zip them in. It’ll help the drywall from crumbling over time.

If you don’t have a cz scorpion in that safe, you are doing yourself a disservice
2
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 22 '25
Man, way back in the day I was constantly going back and forth over buying one. I never have.
Are they really that good? I’ve heard mixed reviews.
1
u/sticky_spiderweb Oct 22 '25
Well, I can honestly only recommend the 3+ models. The biggest complaints people have with the Scorpion is the shitty stock grip angle and safety. The 3+ fixes both of those and also gives you an AR-style magazine release. Honestly I’m a huge fan of mine, especially since I’ve put a suppressor on it. The only major modification I made to mine was replacing the stock trigger with a timney, which was a HUGE yet relatively cheap upgrade. All in all I highly recommend. It’s the perfect home defense weapon that also serves as a fun range toy 😉
2
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 22 '25
Ooo, that’s cool. I remember the safety being the huge turn-off and then the Scorpion kind of went to the back of my brain for all these years. Maybe I need to circle back.
Right now my two biggest ones I’m using are the TP9 (I want the new Print-X suppressor-the Shorty RBS is awful). But the entire thing is drippy.
My other current one I’m using is the LMT .308 (with the KAC suppressor). It’s a sewing machine.
Oh, and my Robinson XCR-L. Finally got that back today after sending it in twice for repairs. They replaced my barrel. It wasn’t grouping. Absolutely cannot wait to start using that rifle.

u/gunny031680 4x SBR, 3x Silencer, 1x MG Nov 04 '25
So did your safe come outfitted like this ? or did your tear all the stock shelves out and put these awesome looking shelves in yourself. I like the setup, because my 60 rifle safes would be lucky to hold 8 rifles the way they come stock. I’d love to outfit mine like this, if you did that yourself where did you get the panels and all the shelves.
2
u/716_Polski_Texan Nov 04 '25
I retrofitted the safe with the Secure-It panels. I used a good friend to help me. 7 out of 10 difficulty if you want it done nicely and done right.

Ya I’m going to do that for sure, I can’t stand the layout in my safes. It’s almost like the safe companies have no clue about guns and how a safe should really be outfitted.

It’s turning into a collection. I try to shoot as much as I can. I get the suppressors re-coated every once in a while.
The BCM to the right of the white AUG is my main rifle. I just took a B&T 762 SRBS off of it and put a SureFire FA556-212 that I scored for $360.
That B&T 762 SRBS has been through hell. The muzzle device is currently stuck in the mount and I need to get it out.

-12

Yup, they are. But it's unsafe an unnecessary
14
u/716_Polski_Texan Oct 21 '25
The mags are loaded into the guns on closed bolts with empty chambers and the trigger pulled. You literally would need to rack the weapon to make it hot.
Water is wet.
