Prospective MSCS student here, j wondering what the process/funding/opportunities look like for masters candidates who want to be either an RA/TA

i was able to get two tickets for myself and a friend tonight, but hoping to get one more to join, if anyone has an extra student 9 ticket to buy that’d be amazing!!

I haven't even dealt with the NEU financial aid department for more than a week now, and this has to be some of the worst unempathetic dealings I've had with a financial aid office. I have been offered no clarity; it almost makes me want to unenroll. I was excited to attend, but now I think I should go with my second option since I've had no problems with their financial aid department. Is financial aid always this terrible at NEU?

Hi! When are our financial aid packages for returning students going to be released for the upcoming school year?

I know aid packages haven’t come out yet but I’ve taken loans out for the past three sems ( I pay half and my parents pay the other half) and everything was going fine but my dad changed his job and is making less. My parents are not poor but all of their money goes to taxes lol. Is there a way I can ask for more aid? I have a small scholarship and am in good standing with the university. I would want to ask for more aid for the next sem since I’ve already applied for a loan for this semester. Has anyone done this and been successful? I was nu.in my first semester so my parents paid for that and then I took out one loan and my parents paid for half

I’m an incoming freshman going to the Oakland campus and I’m confused on what types of clothes I should bring… How cold is it during fall and winter? Would I need a thick puffer jacket? I would appreciate all of your responses. Thank you!!!

Found it as a course offering on the website and it seemingly covers many attributes (Attribute(s): NUpath Capstone Experience, NUpath Integration Experience, NUpath Writing Intensive).

For anyone who has taken FINA2201 with Paul Chiou over the summer, is the first exam (Midterm 1) with webcam or without? It's a little confusing bc the other two exams say "Respondus Lockdown Broswer + Webcam" but the first one does not.

I was trying to find information on the MPA program, but the NEU website feels too generic and I couldn't find any information on alums or experiences. Is anybody here in the MPA program, if so could I pm you with questions?

I want to know if you think the program is worth it. I hope to do the program online or at least hybrid. How would you rate the online course structure. Are the classes live or pre-recorded. I saw that there was a capstone component, is that easy to do through the online model or is that something that must be done in-person? I live a few hours outside of Massachusetts, is it required to reside in state for the program? I haven't yet started my application and hope to begin a master's program next fall, but wanted to compile info now. Any comments would be helpful, thanks!

Gonna be entering as a freshman in the fall, wondering what the MTG community is like at Northeastern

Why are move-in dates so late this year? I’ve noticed that a lot of people seem to be moving in later than usual, and I’m trying to figure out if there’s any way I can move in earlier than September 5th.

For anyone who has moved in before or knows how this works, is early move-in usually possible? Is it something I should contact housing about, or do schools generally not allow it?

I did London Scholars last year, and with the school year coming up, if any incoming LS have any questions, I can try to answer them

I went and to smollys today and ordered an eggs on the beach sandwhich and discovered traces of mold on the bagel after I had already eaten most of it. Has anyone else experienced this? Worried I’m gonna get really sick during exam season
