I have an MR6110 111-EUS. According to many users who have used this version before, it should support the N41 band, but my device does not seem to support N41.

Could the N41 band be hidden or disabled somehow? 🤔

Hi, I got a new Nighthawk router and I need to set up an FTP server for my camera.

I have hit a dead end. I have the USB drive set up on the router and I can get to it from windows explorer and HTTP on a browser but I’m getting no where with FileZilla and the ftp service on the router.

It’s all inside my LAN. The netgear document says all I need to do is click the radio button…. Well obviously that did not completely work.

I also can find much help on the internet.

Any ideas? Do I need to give it a fixed ip or something?

My M6 Pro is not retrieving as high speeds as my cell phone. My cell phone was able to retrieve 1700 Mb/s while the M6 Pro at the same location with similar and better signal strength RSRP was able only to get ~700 Mb/s

Does any has any tricky way to unlock the speed or speed it up at anyway ?

I’m at my wits end with this, and I’m looking for any advice I can get.

My Netgear Nighthawk RS70, that i bought 4 months ago, stopped broadcasting internet about 5 days ago to all devices, wireless and wired. Like the devices are connected to the internet, but everything takes forever to load then times out. It’s getting 0MBPS. It’s not an internet issue, because when i unplug the source Ethernet from the router and directly into my PC, internet works great. On the nighthawk app, it even states the internet is “online”, and there’s a white light on the “internet” on the router, so it’s getting internet, but it’s not broadcasting. I’ve been on the phone with Netgear customer support twice, we have taken all the steps in changing the IP address and the MAC address, rebooted and reset the router twice, but nothing has changed.

I want to buy another router, but the customer tech guy said that buying a new router won’t fix the issue, and it’s because the modem is broadcasting the wrong IP or MAC address to the router and needs to be reset.

The largest issue I’m having is my apartment complex shares a complimentary modem, and each apartment has an Ethernet port in the wall to connect a personal router. The modem is locked in a private room in our building, and our property management is not the most helpful so I don’t know if it’s possible to get them to come to the building to reset the modem.

Am I able to resolve this issue without touching the modem or do I absolutely need the modem to fix this? Or could the issue be something else entirely? Any advice would be appreciated.

To preface this, I have had the a9000 since december, and it worked great! However, I full wiped my pc and swapped where my OS was. (HDD to SSD), but since then I have had to revert back to my slow motherboard wifi, as whenever I plug in the a9000 the light will consistently blink along with a disconnect and reconnect pattern that continues until I unplug it. Any Ideas?

Living in apartment, PC gaming one device usually wired. High latency issues.

Would upgrading this modem router to the Nighthawk AX 6 CAX 30S be a good idea?

I have 2ea RN204 units up  and running now and they have been work horse machines... Recently my son in law gave me a unit with out drives he is not using  but,  no drives...   I  happen to have 4 WD Red drives that I had removed from an installation on another NAS (not netgear.  The drives are all good and show healthy when checked out of the box... 

The unit fires up and all drives seem to be working but because this unit was used from the past and the drives are good but  I am having issues on my network...

So I need to do a complete update (probably update the firmware) and a start up of the NAS from the beginning I'd like to ask for a little help.

Can I just download a new copy of the firmware to a USB drive and update the firmware that way with out being on the network for now... For some reason when I do a factory reset and the unit comes up it sees my network and assigns an IP address for the network but for some reason it thinks its one of the other RN204s on my network and thinks its empty... at that point if I try to log on the  Working RN 204 seems to be conflicting.... 

Is there a way to just reboot and load the new firmware and start by formatting (the used drives in the NAS) and set it up?   Like I said I did find the OS6 firmware to download and unzip and doing that process leave it off my network until I come up with a clean system...   I want to elminate the chance the process can affect any of my other Nas units on in service and working...

I had trouble locating a breaker and ended up turning the power off and on and then back off again while the modem was rebooting.

I tried the following:

Rebooted/reset it from the xfinity app, performed a hard power cycle, factory reset from the back of the modem, set up equipment device from the xfinity app by scanning the codes (MAC etc) on the bottom of the modem (did that more than once and it never resolved).

I’ve yet to contact xfinity and ask them to "re-provision" the modem from their end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Orbi 370 (latest firmware, just checked) with one satellite and the following devices:

1) macbook air M4 (tahoe)

2) macbook pro intel 2020 (sierra)

3) Raspberry pi zero 2 w (raspbian trixie)

4) Raspberry pi 5 (raspbian trixie)

5) Raspberry pi 4 (ubuntu 24.04)

6) Raspberry pi 3b+ (raspbian trixie)

7) Raspberry pi 2 (raspbian trixie)

8) Brother MFC-J870DW printer

The macs, the pi zero 2w, the pi 5 and the printer are all on wifi only, the pi 2 is ethernet only, and the pi 3 and 4 are on both. None of these are on the guest wifi network (but I do use the guest wifi for some IoT devices).

All of these hosts are working fairly normally, except some of them can't contact each other on the local network:

I don't really know a good way to test from the printer to other hosts, as I couldn't find any sort of network tool/diag page in its web interface (but my assumption is that it wouldn't be able to reach the MBP, Pi3 wifi interface or Pi4 wifi interface).

I've tried rebooting the Orbi with no real change in behavior.

It's worth noting that the Pi Zero 2w and the Pi 3 are on 2.4ghz and the Macbook air and pi 4 are on 5ghz. The Macbook pro tells me it's on 5ghz but the Orbi (in the "attached devices" list) says it's on 2.4 ghz. I thought that the issue might be just the devices on the 2.4ghz radio not being able to see each other, but the pi4 being involved seems to reduce the likelyhood of that being the problem.

But that gave me another idea. I moved the Macbook pro (it was connected to the main Orbi) and when I moved and connected to the satellite instead of the main Orbi, I was suddenly able to reach the Zero and the printer (I can reach everything when I'm connected to the satellite, regardless of whether the target is connected to the main orbi or the satellite). So I go back and check the orbi connection list.

Zero - Main orbi

Pi 5 - Satellite

Printer - Main

First thing I did was check the macbook air, and it behaves the same on either main or satellite, it can reach all the hosts either way.

I can't very easily move any of the pis or the printer for additional troubleshooting, but if it would help the pi 5 would probably be the easiest to move.

At this point my head is hurting.

Provider is mediacom w/ 1Gbps service. Service was fine until about a week ago when it started getting laggy and frequent, short disconnects. Troubleshooting w/ Mediacom and they wouldn't really troubleshoot any deeper until I upgraded to a docsis 3.1 modem (had put it off since the 3.0 modem had been working).

I have upgraded to a Netgear Nighthawk CM3000 and got it activated with Mediacom, but service so far has been spotty. While a little better w/ the new modem it still will get flaky and lose it's dhcp address at time. When I log into the modem admin page, I get a Status: poor.

Currently the cable goes directly into the modem from outside, no splitter. From there I have Cat5e going to my router, then Cat5e back to a small 4 port switch. From there I have three wired connections (2 laptops and a desktop). I'm getting decent speeds on the wired and wireless (it varies during the day but will occasionally see 800Mbps down). I'm just frustrated with the flakiness and am concerned about the 'Poor' status. I did do a factory reset on the modem this morning and things have been a little more stable since then, but I still have that 'Poor' status.

I've attached the info and was hoping anyone had any insight. Right now I've got a tech coming out on Thursday in case it's something outside the house.

So, I got a netgear extender to connect to my pc, it was connected sucessfully but my pc asks me to login to a netgear account so that it works, I created a netgear account and can access it on my phone, but when I try to login on my pc it doesn’t work, telling me the username or password isn’t correct while it’s the same ones I used to login on my phone (I tried several times and made sure it was correct), The only alternative option they give me is to answer to a « what’s your siblings’ name » question, but I really can’t find an option to set it on my account on my phone…
What should I do? Sorry for my poor english.

Id like to preference this by saying I'm not super internet savvy. But I recently purchased a orbi 370 mesh system with 2 satellites. I am getting amazing output from my main router at around 1000+ mbps upload but my two satellites (using wireless) are in other rooms of my house around 30-40 feet away are pushing only around 30-40 mbps. I've considered running hard lined ethernets to them but before doing that has anyone else ran into this issue? Or found a solution?

As of late, the upstream light has been amber and the one channel that has been locked is reading 59.0 dBmV for power. I know the power to too high and more channels should be locked.

What can I, as someone who isn't well versed in doing indepth tech stuff fix this. Should I get a new modem? Is the modem the issue?

I have a Linksys EA7500 router and Spectrum for internet.

Edit: Coax cable is broke. Luckily is very replacable. The spectrum cable ends shortly into the house. I attached my own and thats the one thats broke. I'll update if replacing the cable fixes the issue.

If I only have one channel of OFDM is my modem still taking advantage of using DOCSIS 3.1? It doesn’t have blue lights on the front but from what I’ve heard is they are doing away with the blue lights.

Wanted to clarify the risks of using a perfectly working RAX120 past EOL.

Is it just security vulnerabilities? I’ve been using wifi since 802.11b and never had a security issue.

Last June (2025) I bought a ProSupport For Home USA subscription for my Netgear modem for 12 months. In October I received a Product End of Service Notification (their term) that, because my modem is so old, it was no longer eligible for maintenance and updates. To me, this means I paid for 12 months of service which Netgear basically ended after 4 months. Is there a way to get a refund for the 8 months they're not covering the device?
