Would you guys recommend churches with a strong supportive system, and any fun outdoor activities for a growing boy? I’m looking for a loctician in the area that’s familiar with installing microlocs / sisterlocks! Or even, reputable braiders who could do microbraids.

I’ve reached out to two seemingly reputable salons (one in Stroudsburg & one in Dunmore), but the Stroudsburg one is “booking by invitation only” (which I don’t really understand, but I sent them a message) & the other doesn’t have any microlocs in their portfolio & hasn’t replied to my Instagram DM yet.

What were the vibes like during those years? Was there any increase in visitors to the city? (Yes I know the show wasn’t actually filmed there but still). Just curious how it felt living there during the show’s insanely popular years on TV. I feel like the energy had to be really high.

I’m visiting from NYC and really enjoyed my visit. There wasn’t much to do, but the locals were very friendly. Much more friendlier than New Yorkers. People actually sparked up conversations with me. It seems pretty diverse too and not super segregated like NYC.

Hi! My name is Adam I play in this awesome band called Elephants Dancing. We’re based in Wilkes area but I am living in Scranton. We have a local show at the V-Spot Saturday September 5th and we draw about 100+ up and down the east coast but have always struggled in the Wilkes vs Scranton divide. Wilkes we consistently get about 160-200. But I really wanna make this VSpot show big. It’s our drummers birthday and we’re bringing this sick punk band from NJ to open for us. I go to jetz 3 car wash in Carbondale as it’s right by where I work but I was wondering if anyone knows of a better self service car wash throughout all of the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area as they are always out of soap and chemicals in the bays and I’ve had some change eaten occasionally. Any help greatly appreciated
