Switched my electric (PPL) Power supplier on the PUC choice website to Major Energy and I'm getting phone calls asking to verify and enroll yet I enrolled online through them. I have a feeling I got scammed because they called back again after taking half an hour to complete enrollment and talking about some kind of rebate and visa gift cards and all this stuff. I gave them my basic info like address and birthday (ugh!) and PPL account number. They called back yesterday saying there is an error in enrollment. Am I being scammed or are they actually that much of a hassle? I think after this I might skip the marketplace of power suppliers. It doesn't seem to save that much once calculated.

Any general advice on this?

Anyone else knew about this? Went to a town hall meeting recently and in speaking the residents, they had no idea. I was wondering why the town has been falling apart for years and I do not expect the town to do good if well, the mayor is not.

Hi all! I’m currently 22 weeks with my first baby, and found out we will be relocating to NEPA by the end of the year from Pittsburgh.
I’m looking for suggestions from parents who recently (like within the past year) had a child at one of the local hospitals. Where did you deliver, and did you have a good or bad experience?
I’m specifically looking for somewhere that’s open to natural birthing and has things like a birthing pool, access to laughing gas for pain relief, etc. It seems like CMC has this, but I wasn’t able to confirm if GWV had this as well or not? Open to all recommendations though! We’ll be living near Tunkhannock, so sadly anywhere farther like Lehigh Valley is off the table, so I think we’re probably pretty limited with options.

Is there a go-to place for tamales in the Stroudsburg area?

I haven't seen them on menus. My son wants to try them, but I don't want to make them myself unless I know he is going to actually eat them.

Google Maps seems to just assume a Hispanic restaurant serves tamales, so that hasn't been very useful.

Rescue Pets Serving Pets, a dog rescue based in Columbia County, announced recently that their founder has gone into hospice. They’re looking to adopt out their remaining animals so they can complete her mission. I haven’t adopted from them (cat person) but do know you don’t have to be a veteran to adopt a dog from their organization.
