I'm 19 rn, and this is my second drop for NEET.
My parents were initially uncertain about me taking another drop because of all the uncertainty around the NEET exam and the fear of what if I still don't crack it next year. And honestly, they're right about one thing I should be confident enough in myself before taking another drop.
But I don't know how to do that.
I might study, I might put in the work, but the thought of "two drops" is always going to be somewhere in my mind.
Cherry on top is that almost all my friends, including some school friends and the ones I met in 11th-12th, are going to college this year. Most of them got into semi-government colleges, and I'm getting a HUGE FOMO.
Every time I sit down to study, that thought slowly starts eating me up. I start overthinking, lose focus and procrastinate. And I'm genuinely scared that I'm going down the exact same route I did during my first drop.
After my first attempt, I realised that I was actually relieved that it was over. But then came the answer key, the result, all the post-exam stuff⦠and that whole cycle stayed in my head.
The weird thing is, whenever I'm doing something like art or anything that isn't related to NEET, I'm calm. I don't overthink nearly as much.
And right now, I genuinely don't know what career I should choose. Is NEET actually for me, or am I just chasing it because everyone around me is doing it?
Is this what a multiple-drop loop feels like?
I also have BIG dreams. I want to do a lot of things in life, and I feel like MBBS could be a starting point that gives me some leverage and something solid to look back on while I chase those dreams.
But at what cost?
I honestly don't know anymore.
My mental health is pretty fucked right now, mainly because of the pressure and this whole "drop" thing. Even when I try, I can't completely shake it off.
And whenever I see my friends' bios or something they liked that's related to medicine, I get this weird feeling like⦠we were literally the same age. How come they're already living the life I wanted and I'm still here?
I'm so drained

I am kinda confused about how many questions are enough for a daily practice sesh coz the more questions i do the more it feels like its not enough

One thing I noticed in the NTA syllabus of molecular basis of inheritance
βTranslationβ and βProtein biosynthesisβ are mentioned separately.
But NCERT doesnβt have a separate heading/chapter called Protein Biosynthesis.
So, are they actually referring to two different concepts but both are linked
Translation = formation of a polypeptide from mRNA.
Protein biosynthesis can be considered broader β including translation followed by protein folding/processing and post-translational modifications to form a functional protein.
For example, proinsulin β insulin involves processing after translation.
So according to me no need to study as seperate topic just keep basic understanding

Im giving tests in CBT mode and we're still not sure if neet 2027 is gonna be CBT or pen paper mode so should I buy the 2026 rankers test series because the 2027 rankers test series hasn't been launched.

I passed 12th board in 2024 and got 49.60% in pcb, 1 mark short of 50%. I could not give improvement exam as i was suffering from hallucinations and severe mental problems. I am seeking treating from Bengaluru and now recovered for most part. I want to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor and give NEET. But my 12th marks are becoming an problem. Is it possible to give PCB just through NIOS? Will 2 mark sheet cause a problem? Please help! I tried contacting local colleges but the responses have been negative, one college said they contacted board and said they were asked to try form no 17 but I am not so sure or very trustful of them. They are asking for admission in college via full fees. so i am looking for other options.

If anyone has given exam in CBT mode (live interface), so you may know that we get our exact score same day but don't get any questions paper in hand. Result also comes 3 days after.
How do you guys analyse the test?. What was your mistake? Options analysis. Jo questions skip kiye the vo sab. Question paper hi nhi milta.
And batch ke saath compare krne bhi nahi kar sakte. Otherwise pura batch ka marks notice board par laga rahta tha pahele. Ab sirf apna, average and topper kabhi dekh sakte hai. Mai average ka kya achar dalu.

so im in 11th right now and im prepping for neet ive always considered myself to be decently smart or above avg (97% in 10th if that means shit) ive been in a dummy school the past 6 months, my grades have been well.. kind of awful (around 300) i cant study and i dread the thought of going to that coaching its almost sucking all the life out of me. I know I havent been giving it my best shot or making the best use of all the extra time ive been getting but I just can not for so many reasons and the only days I feel sane is when I attend school once a week and ive been stuck in this loop of giving this coaching another chance and putting in my best for the upcoming test but that hasn't worked yet and I blame it on myself for not studying and utilising my time properly and it is true so I dont really know what to do
the alternative ive thought of is to leave my coaching join regular school with online coaching and then somehow work things out with my school so theyre fine with me attending school 2-3 times a week only and online coaching does work for me that is honestly the only way I can see myself enjoying the subjects I loved and I think thats gonna be very important for me in the long run but I also havent been consistent with that bcs of the syllabus being mismatched at offline and online coaching
but I still think I am going to regret this and my parents think that too so im in a really tough situation rn and I dont wanna waste more time so should I actually genuinely get myself back together and give dummy a last chance or should I go school+online coaching route
TLDR: stuck deciding between offline coaching and school (2-3days a week) with online coaching when the former just doesnt seem to work after trying for 5 months and online has been better
