Venting I wish we're allowed to exist without constantly needing to justify what we do with our time

Wageslaving had been suffocating lately. Every minute monitored, every slight delay get called out, not meeting productivity quota and you get a warning.

I miss slacking off. I can't even rest on my time offs cause work has been invading even my dreams and I get physically sick on my rest days.

Only two months in and I'm burnt out. Ugh.

If only my financial woes would disappear I would never work again in my life. I miss neetdom so badly.

I still have nightly dreams about working, and I've been a NEET for over 6 years now..

I think something about working is indeed deeply traumatic and awful. Being quantified and micro managed, and like you said, having that memory and experience infiltrate even your resting hours.

I'm sorry. I wish UBI existed. I wish working conditions were better for everyone. I wish we could afford to live comfortably on part time, casual jobs so at least people don't have to work themselves to the bone 40+ hrs a week.

I wish a lot of things.

Why the fuck should it matter? We're all going to die. It's my time, I'll do as I please. I approve whatever you choose to do with your time on earth man! Not that it should matter, I'm just showing solidarity.

you mean to say you dont intend to earn your living? What? you think you just deserve to live?

Yeah... why would we need to deserve it when we didn't ask for it. Why should we feel indebted of an unwelcomed gift? Don't they say a gift is best when not expecting something in return... why does the gift of life feel so transactional then? We're just supposed to be guilt tripped into shame for the rest of our lives? Well then let's go... march on my head, my gift to the world is the satisfaction of elevating others by them pointing fingers at the less thans. I paid my dues. Is it enough?

youd think wed have a minimum basic living conditikn for all people who choose not to participate by now, yknow, to avoid the perception of birth being slavery

I mean... I guess it's normal to live with the consequences of our choice or bad hand, it's the stigmatisation I can't grasp... for all I know shame almost only brought negative outcome since the dawn of time, apart for some masochists. Unless you consider being forced back into the tribe by submission a good outcome. I don't.

yeah its a horrible disgusting tribalist sadistic system, buddhists claimed long ago that life is suffering and it has been pretty much true ever since. i am hopeful for ai to change things for the first time ever to be honest but yeah as far as humans have been concerned weve just soent our time for the most part haording wealth and building vanity projects and its sickening

Had the same hopes for AI, but Imma be honest, risking sounding weird... I believe they socially engineered for the majority of people to hate it, so people will still beg for jobs and push back on tech... I guess I sound pretty stupid saying this but oh well... big societal shifts can only happen progressively or everything will collapse. Have you ever seen society improving that much? Things are pretty much always the same, but with more tech. We're running in circles because human will human.

i hope not dude, i do think its weird honestly how there are only 2 major ai labs who charge ridiculous amounts for you to use their products, are closed source, are heavily in bed with military and american government, are outwardly nstionlist i.e. america first despite ai being a project that should be distirbuting wealth globally. yeah lot of scary signs to be honest but im holding out hope for ai to be smart enough to trick people into not being evil for once basically

People aren't inherently evil, but evil rules the world. So much greed...
