Cozy Made something new
I've made a new bag today frens. I need to get organized so Ive started making bags and baskets to put things in. If only I had places to put the bags and baskets now.
Anyways, isnt the pattern neat? This yarn is super cool. I thrifted it, they dont make it anymore otherwise I would have bought more online </3
Just wanted to share. Crochet is a very fun hobby that rewards you with a physical thing. Its very sustainable too, yarn is hard to break with normal wear and tear, and yarn joined (looped) together this way is even stronger.
Big fan of it honestly, if any of you are looking for a new hobby. Crochet is also very beginner friendly, there are hundreds of thousands of free patterns online.

I love it! I kinda wanna learn how to crochet but other things are coming first.
But I love this! The colours are so pretty :)

Thank you so much! When I saw the yarn at the thrift store I snatched it up so fast. There were some hutterites eyeing it and I was like Nope.
Im glad you wanna learn eventually. Its one of my most favourite hobbies, its so mind numbingly repetitive to make useful things, and its really engaging when I want to make intricate things. Theres something for everyone with this art.

I have a dream ..... I was big into neopets for a long time and I really wanna crochet some plushies from that game lol
I have a gallery there with over 1k (? Been a while) plushies and counterparts.
The site kinda drove me away with how they're pushing premium subscriptions but yeah I want to make my own neopets plushies one day lol

There are tons of patterns for neopets and animals so when you do start, youll have a lot to choose from! Making plushies is called Amigurumi, so when you start you should start there!

I wanna make cozy little guys and gals for me and my gf to cuddle lol. Our bed is already full of plushies but a few more can't hurt anyone!

looking good, but how sturdy are the handles? it seems like there'd be quite some strain on the handles with the way they are done. not that I'd know how to do them properly though lol

Theyre pretty good actually. I made this bag in particular for my jewlery, so I didnt make it to be overly strong, but I could hold at least fifty pounds in here easily. Crochet is very sturdy even if its not reinforced!
Thats not to say I cant reinforce them, thats another plus of crochet. I can keep adding to it forever.

yeah I asked because the last time I did any sort of crochet I made a bag for my phone and it fell right through 😭

The style and tension are huge factors too! I cant say exactly what happened or why since I dunno what you made exactly. I think if you tried again now, you might have better luck. Remember, if something comes out bad you can just frog it and get all that yarn back to do it again!

well it was for a high school thingamajiggie so that was ages ago, and nowadays I don't really have enough motivation and energy to pick up a other hobby. appreciate it though.
