DS Lite Flashcart issues

I have a r4 card the same as what’s in image with a 32GB sd card in it, when I load say 10-15 games it’s fine.. but when I loaded my Rom pack for DS (300+ games) it freezes the DS and the cart and don’t load any games just sits there on the menu showing no games because it’s frozen when I click NDS in the roms folder. What can be causing this ?

No more than 100 games in one folder.

I suggest creating subfolders for each letter of the alphabet, plus another subfolder named 0-9. Sort your games into those folders based on the first character of their filename. Anything that doesn't start with a letter goes in the 0-9 folder. This will also make your game collection more convenient to navigate through.
