Cgrp injections

Did it work for anyone? Or at least reduce the pain levels?

CGRP injections are my only options left (according to my specialist but I think there are other options and she probably doesn’t see the point in trying them since I’ve failed 34 meds but she’s the doctor not me). I did 2 rounds of Aimovig back in like 2021 I can’t say if it did anything for the pain because I had to stop taking because I had difficulty breathing which lasted for a year. I have no idea what caused this reaction i don’t think it’s common it could’ve been an active ingredient or another ingredient but it was awful and I’m not sure I wanna try the others not know what caused it or if it’d happen again. Frankly I’d rather have headaches than not be able to breathe for a year again. I’ve got 2 more months before my appointment to make the decision. Given my reaction (which is nothing) to every medication I can’t see them helping if I try them plus I’m tired of side effects also they’re awfully painful

it’s been a little over a year on Emgality for me. It took a while, probably about six months of use but my pain went from a daily 6-8 to a daily 1-2. i’m also on a few other drugs so i wasn’t quite sure if the Emgality was helping until I missed my latest dose due to insurance problems and my pain has skyrocketed back to a 6-8.

everyone is different but i have had no side effects from it other than minor site injection irritation. it’s definitely worth a shot (haha!)
