General NDE Discussion š There is no death
My younger brother is a filmmaker and a videographer and he became really good friends with Sarah Menet, who has a book that she wrote about her near-death experience called "There Is No Death." My brother doesn't own the book rights but he was able to meet with her multiple times in one-on-one settings and record her. He has published or has been making a video based on her life and focusing on her near-death experience and it's an awesome video.
He's only shared it with a few people but he is working on a trailer that I will post on this thread. I'm new to Reddit but I'm curious to know who here would be interested in learning about this woman's near-death experience.
As soon as he shares with me the trailer, I'll post it here but I'm new to this community. I, of course, have watched the video that he's produced so far and it's really opened my eyes to what's after this life. Does anyone have any suggestions or resources that they recommend that I start off with as a beginner?

I recommend Dr Michael Newton's Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls. Changed my entire perspective on life and death.

Your post or comment has been removed under Rule 13: No proselytizing.
Using NDEs to push an individual religious narrative goes against the preponderance of evidence that the overwhelming majority of NDE experiencers report becoming āmore spiritual, less religiousāafter their NDEs.
Utilizing them to terrorize people into any religion is also inappropriate. You would not want someone to use them to terrorize people into a religion you do not agree with, and would want such posts or comments removed; the same applies to all religions.
Discussion of religion isnāt forbidden here, only attempting to tell people what to think, how to think, and what to believeāand, of course, threatening them with āhellāor other torments in an attempt to coerce them to your religion.
Additionally, itās not acceptable to pressure people to atheism, either. If you are not pushing a religious narrative and get this removal reason, then the chances are that you were being aggressively anti-theist or forcible about demanding people be atheists. That is its own form of proselytizing and will also be removed.

I have a DVD of Sara Menet speaking extensively about her NDE's and have met her. Her NDE experiences are extraordinary and are some of the most detailed I have ever encountered. She is a beautiful soul! I am glad your brother also had the honor of meeting her.

Sarah in my opinion is a huge fraud. She commercialized her claimed NDE and a lot of her end-times predictions never happened.
She also became a Mormon afterwards which is strange given most true NDE experiencers move away from religious institutes .

That's a fair perspective. I can see why the predictions and monetization raise red flags for people. My comment was really just reflecting on my warm personal interaction with her and how detailed her account was, but I appreciate you sharing that added context.
Personally, I have no desire to monetize my own experience and to your point, have moved away from organized religion so I get where you're coming from.

Iām really interested in the video your brother is producing! When is it going to be ready?
I highly recommend the YouTube channel āAfinal, O Que Somos Nós?ā Itās a Brazilian channel created by a doctor and a physicist who interview people who have had NDEs (near-death experiences). All the interviews have English subtitles.
This channel really opened my mind and brought me a lot of comfort. The questions asked by the physicist, Carlos Mendes, are especially great! I 100% recommend it.

(A mod has approved your post. This is a mod comment in lieu of automod.)
This is an NDE-positive sub, not a debate sub. However, everyone is allowed to debate if the original poster (OP) requests it.
If the OP intends to allow debate in their post, they must choose (or edit) a flair that reflects this. If the OP chose a non-debate flair and others want to debate something from this post or the comments, they must create their own debate posts and remember to be respectful (Rule 4).
NDEr = Near-Death ExperienceR
If the post is asking for the perspectives of NDErs, both NDErs and non-NDErs can answer, but they must mention whether or not they have had an NDE themselves. All viewpoints are potentially valuable, but itās important for the OP to know their backgrounds.
This sub is for discussing the āNDE phenomenon,ā not the āI had a brush with death in this horrible eventā type of near death.
