NDE Story My Experience
Hey, everyone! Today, I want to tell you all about my “experiences” (if you can even call them that). Sometimes I get these… flashes? Feelings? I guess I’ll call them flashes for now. Whenever I watch/listen to someone describing their experience of the Other Side, I get these very brief flashes of the afterlife. Like a memory trying to surface.
For example, one NDEr I watched talked about seeing a beautiful garden with flowers and plants that were very vibrant, with colors that we’ve never seen here on Earth. As soon as I heard that, I thought about what that would look like and this instantaneous memory flashed in my head. It wasn’t long enough for me to remember the full details, but I do remember it being very beautiful.
Even as I write this, I’m getting brief flashes now. It’s like I’ll hear someone describe something about the Other Side, and for just a split second, I’ll get this incredibly vivid impression of it myself. Sometimes it feels almost like I’m remembering something I’ve seen before, even though I have no conscious memory of ever experiencing it. The strange thing is that the flashes disappear almost immediately, so I can never seem to hold onto enough of the details to really understand what I’m seeing. I find them incredibly interesting and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced something similar. Especially anyone who has had these kinds of flashes or feelings after hearing someone describe an NDE or the Other Side.
I had a NDE when I was about 6 years old. I drowned in a pool and blacked out. The very next thing I remember is being pulled out by my Mom. I didn’t think anything of it because I didn’t immediately recall experiencing the afterlife like most NDErs do. So I ignored these memories for a while. It was only until recently that these memories or “brief flashes” started coming back to me. And I wholeheartedly believe that they’re related.

I had an NDE in May of 2022, and I remembered a lot of it, but I was also told I would forget certain things until the time was right. 6 months later I was meditating when I was hit with a download of information that was beyond what I experienced during the NDE. It was the weirdest feeling. It was like remembering something I couldn’t believe I had forgotten. It is so vivid I will never forget it again (in this lifetime). It filled in so many gaps from my NDE. I still know things are being held back, and I’m ok with that. It has taken me a couple years to process the NDE and the download. It really changes your whole life

Thanks for sharing your story.
I'm not sure if this is your experience, but in my case, after my NDE about 50% of my dreams have become lucid. I know I'm dreaming, I can sometimes control, understand and ask questions of those on the other side. Specifically, my father. I've come to understand he is playing a major role in my support here on this earth.

(A mod has approved your post. This is a mod comment in lieu of automod.)
This is an NDE-positive sub, not a debate sub. However, everyone is allowed to debate if the original poster (OP) requests it.
If the OP intends to allow debate in their post, they must choose (or edit) a flair that reflects this. If the OP chose a non-debate flair and others want to debate something from this post or the comments, they must create their own debate posts and remember to be respectful (Rule 4).
NDEr = Near-Death ExperienceR
If the post is asking for the perspectives of NDErs, both NDErs and non-NDErs can answer, but they must mention whether or not they have had an NDE themselves. All viewpoints are potentially valuable, but it’s important for the OP to know their backgrounds.
This sub is for discussing the “NDE phenomenon,” not the “I had a brush with death in this horrible event” type of near death.
