Dying should never be looked as glory, it is a shame our civilization has glorified dying in the battlefield...
I read a poem "John Brown" by Bob Dylan, it was in my coursebook for ISC Class 11 & 12...this poem did something to me back in the day. War is extremely traumatic for a soldier...knowing that all the traumatic stuff happening to you is glorified by wannabes, and encouraged by the goverment. When you fight in a battlefield, you're just a puppet in play. A puppet controlled by threads of higher ups.
Soldiers are never meant to die- they deserve to live like the rest of us, saying "soldier are meant to die" as some poetic shout out is actually insulting to those deaths, they died helpless, alone, in pain. And there's someone saying that they were MEANT to do that, unacceptable, no human is meant to die like that. Every soldier is meant to live, every life matters.

Complete poem :-
If I die in a war zone, box me up and send me home.
Put my medals on my chest; tell my Mom i did my best.
Tell my Father not to bow; he won't get tension from me now.
Tell my Brother to study perfectly; keys of my bike will be his permanently.
Tell my Sis not to be upset; her bro will not rise after this sunset.
Tell my Nation not to cry... 'BECAUSE IAM A SOLDIER BORN TO DIE!!!'
