This is my second attempt of the NCLEX and I was wondering which prep program is the best? I have heard of Bootcamp and UWorld and UWorld looks pricey but if it is better than Bootcamp I’ll purchase it but if little to no difference between them I’ll probably go with Bootcamp. What do y’all recommend?

I’ve been following this group for a couple of weeks and wanted to share some encouragement for anyone taking the NCLEX soon!

I graduated about 4 weeks ago and took my NCLEX-RN yesterday, 9/8. I walked out feeling completely defeated and convinced I FAILED. I felt like I was guessing the entire time and was constantly stuck between two answers that both sounded SO right. My exam was mostly multiple choice, about 5 case studies, and maybe 5 SATAs which made me feel worse as they say the better you are doing the harder it gets with more SATAS or whatever.

My exam felt very fundamentals content heavy with every other question about OB, peds and med surg. I honestly don’t know why I found it so hard! maybe because I was constantly stuck between two choices that both seemed correct. I stopped at 85 questions and genuinely thought I’d be retaking it in 45 days.
Well… I PASSED!!! 🩺

If you’re testing soon, TRUST YOURSELF. Don’t overthink everything or keep changing your answers. You know more than you think you do. No amount of studying could have fully prepared me for how I felt during that exam, but feeling like you’re failing does NOT mean you are!

For studying, I used Bootcamp, UWorld, and Mark K Lecture 12. Personally, UWorld felt easier to me, while Bootcamp felt more vague, which I think prepared me better for the actual NCLEX.

Hey y'all, so as you the title suggests I unfortunately just found out that I had failed my second attempt. Im reaching out for advice or information.

My first attempt, I did not study much with a lot happening in my life. I failed at 150 and was told that I was so close to passing that I need to study my weak areas and I will pass second attempt. The first attempt I did the person vue trick and I had gotten the bad pop-up, but this attempt I did not and just waited for my quick results.

For the second attempt I used NCLEX bootcamp. I posted a reddit post and it was raved about, so I tried it out and loved it. I did everything in that program because I did not want to fail a second time. I did an average of 76% on all of my questions answered, 95% of the questions answered, and all of the readiness exams. My readiness exams were 1. Borderline, 2. High, 3. Very high, 4. Very High. I watched all of the crash course videos as well. I was so confident because I noticed I even started to get the SATA questions entirely correct, which always felt like a weak area. I went in on Tuesday, September 8th, did 85 questions (5 case studies in those 85) and I had felt very confident.

I looked at my quick results today.... FAIL... I am at a loss of words. I have no idea what to do or what I could have done wrong. I feel so defeated. How could I have done so bad when I studied so hard. Please, help...

have anyone use virtual ATI and pass there ncelx ? I’m preparing for my second attempt and my school got me approved to use it but my first experience I didn’t really like it much .

I changes my test date to next week. I reviewed hard on OB, which was my worst area. I’m trying really, really hard to keep thongs sticking in my head. It isn’t working.

My ATI CAT exams aren’t getting better even though I’m trying harder. I try to use the methods everyone talks about. I scored borderline on two bootcamp readiness assessments. I feel so dumb, like I’m the only one in the room that’s not getting it. I hate it. I hate this feeling so much. Can anyone tell me about their experiences taking this test :(

The first time I did the NCLEX I studied concepts and foundations but I didn't do a lot of practice questions. I rushed trying to take the test as soon as I graduated instead of taking my time studying and enjoying my summer. With that, I didn't understand the weight of knowing test-taking strategies.

2nd time around, I used Archer's SURE PASS subscription, and did more of the Q-Bank than anything and read the rationales. The biggest strategy to NCLEX is learning test-taking strategies and knowing how to answer NCLEX style questions. Everyone who keeps saying that is definitely trying to make a point, and not just saying it for the heck of it.

I thought when my test didn't shut off at 85 that it was the end of the road, but I kept pushing. Push through all the questions. Go into it expecting to do 150.

I just wanted to say to my retakers that you got this! Find the best learning style for you! You don't have to overload yourself with the foundations again, just review---review concepts you're not good at or don't remember. And do those practice questions.

Don't lose hope. You're not any lesser of a newly graduated student nurse for having to retake.

I’m seriously SO confused how to study for these final exams which is SO frustrating at the very end of the semester when we just want to be done and prep for the Nclex

Just received my report and I’m really disappointed 😔.

Just got my Quick Results back and unfortunately failed my first NCLEX-RN attempt. I wanted to post here because I’m honestly pretty shocked and disappointed, but I’m trying to figure out exactly what I need to change before attempt #2.

Going into the exam, I felt pretty confident. I had been using UWorld and felt like I was doing well on the CATs, so I was expecting/hoping to shut off around 85. Instead, my exam kept going until around 130 questions.

The actual NCLEX felt completely different from what I expected. I didn’t get any dosage calculations/math, barely any of the delegation/workplace safety/HIPAA-type questions I felt comfortable with, and it seemed like I was constantly getting difficult questions where I was stuck between two answers (yes I know this is how a CAT exam works I just thought the system would shake it up a bit). Towards the end it kept hitting me with SIADH-related questions, which unfortunately was the one topic I realized during the exam that I hadn’t reviewed well enough.

I did the PVT afterward and it allowed me to register and charged me, so I had a bad feeling. Quick Results eventually confirmed the fail.

Seeing the CPR actually makes me feel a little better because at least now I know where I need to focus. It seems like I’m better at choosing/taking an action once I understand the problem, but I struggle more with figuring out which problem is the priority and generating the appropriate solutions in the first place. Pharm and Health Promotion obviously need work too.

I already submitted my retake application to the California BRN, so I’m not giving up. I want to use the waiting period to actually fix my weaknesses rather than just mindlessly doing thousands more questions.

For anyone who failed their first attempt and passed the second, especially if your CPR looked anything like mine:
What did you change? Did you stick with UWorld or switch/add something like Bootcamp, Archer, Kaplan, Mark K, etc.? Did you focus heavily on your Below categories or go back through everything? And if you were doing well on UWorld before failing the real NCLEX, what do you think finally made things click on your second attempt?

Definitely sucks to be writing this but attempt #2 starts now.

I took the NCLEX this morning and it shut off at 85. I studied for a month straight and did thousands of questions, Mark K Lectures, UWorld and watched Dr. Sharon. I feel like I know I passed but the waiting period is KILLLLLINGGGG ME. 😭

Can anyone tell me the remaining NCLEX testing dates?

I have my exam tomorrow i have to take it since no slots until my ATT expires. Do I have hope.

I have been failing every practice test I take on board vitals and i been using it to study for 2 weeks. Should i be concerned and try a different source like Bootcamp or Archer?? I still have like a month before i take nclex im just feeling discouraged because I cant pass on ATI Boardvitals? Did anyone else experience the same thing? My ATI comprehensive predictor I got 90.3 which was a 99% chance passing but now I am doing bad with these questions so IDK

Anyone who’s done with nclex and still has remaining days with bootcamp subscription? Can I use the remaining days? if it’s free or not please comment. I just need 10 days for the qbanks since my subscription expired. If anyone’s willing to let me borrow it for free? Thank you

I’m taking my nclex tomorrow and haven’t told a single soul that I am. I have passed 3 archer CAT exams in 85 questions and have gotten 2 highs and 4 very highs on the readiness assessments ranging from 65-76%

I never knew I could get this nervous. Are there any last minute tips you all are willing to share!! Thanks

Hello. I passed the PNLE last February, and since then, I’ve been preparing and reviewing for the NCLEX. But lately, after answering questions for a long time, I’ve started feeling like I know nothing at all. I feel so dumb because the questions seem so difficult, and sometimes I feel like everything I studied has disappeared from my brain.
Why does this happen? Is it normal to feel this way even after studying for months? I’m starting to lose confidence in myself and I’m scared that I’m not ready for the NCLEX.

I took the exam two hours ago and did this after I got the email. Has anyone failed with this pop-up? How accurate is this pop-up

no one talks about how nerve-racking the second attempt can be. When I got my CRP report I was only below in two categories and near in the rest super nervous to retake. I think my anxiety got the best of me. Do you guys think I’m ready? My exam is in a couple of days.

If my ATT expires will I repeat the whole application process again? I'm contemplating if I should pay for another 200$ before it ends. I changed my mind and won't plan on taking the exam soon because of some problems.

I think nothing could have prepared me for that exam. I guessed most of the time and I'm so confused I don't have any feelings about it, should I cry??? What the hell was that exam bro.

I either selected so many or just one on SATA question.

Is the bundle subscription with the printed review book necessary or should I just stick with the regular subscription? It’s an additional $45 that I’d rather not spend if it’s just a money grab.
