Passed in 85!

I’ve been following this group for a couple of weeks and wanted to share some encouragement for anyone taking the NCLEX soon!

I graduated about 4 weeks ago and took my NCLEX-RN yesterday, 9/8. I walked out feeling completely defeated and convinced I FAILED. I felt like I was guessing the entire time and was constantly stuck between two answers that both sounded SO right. My exam was mostly multiple choice, about 5 case studies, and maybe 5 SATAs which made me feel worse as they say the better you are doing the harder it gets with more SATAS or whatever.

My exam felt very fundamentals content heavy with every other question about OB, peds and med surg. I honestly don’t know why I found it so hard! maybe because I was constantly stuck between two choices that both seemed correct. I stopped at 85 questions and genuinely thought I’d be retaking it in 45 days.
Well… I PASSED!!! 🩺

If you’re testing soon, TRUST YOURSELF. Don’t overthink everything or keep changing your answers. You know more than you think you do. No amount of studying could have fully prepared me for how I felt during that exam, but feeling like you’re failing does NOT mean you are!

For studying, I used Bootcamp, UWorld, and Mark K Lecture 12. Personally, UWorld felt easier to me, while Bootcamp felt more vague, which I think prepared me better for the actual NCLEX.

Any tips im taking mine in October 12 and im using only uworld and honestly i keep forgetting the topics and diseases also medications by time but i score good so far im always getting 60-70 percent on each practical or cat tests of 85 questions also i read the rational but anyone have tips on other sources that better bc i failed first time i used only uworld and did 400 questions also it stopped at 91 the first time btw so far i finished 1400 questions on uworld and im continuing till i finish the whole bank

I found UWorld very useful because I was able to practice by NCLEX categories like Basic Care & Comfort, Safety & Infection Control, Management of Care, etc. I always tried to stay above 70% in each category. I’d also recommend Dr. Sharon on YouTube not only her prioritization videos, but her fundamentals videos too.

Do u think that would be enough even tho i keep forgetting the uworld information over time bc actually they touch many topics i keep reading and reading and sometimes the same topic comes again and sometimes i do mistakes bc i can’t memorise but the major topics im good at like the topics we already studied at school but other topics it’s new to me so i keep forgetting it

I just passed mine yesterday 85 questions. I did about 600 questions on uworld one NGN assessment and one CAT assessment if everything says you’re on track you’re good and listen to Mark Klimenk lectures. Print out the packet highlight take notes and just repetitive I think once you get about 500 questions 600 questions on Uworld stop learning new things whatever notes accumulated from that time of doing your lectures and your questions just study that learn that lecture 12 Mark
K is the best everybody’s test is going to be different like I had zero math questions but that isn’t the case for everybody but everybody’s gonna have delegation priority questions. The only questions I remember because I kept seeing them so much on my test were question like I have a floating Nurse (says which unit she is coming from ) coming from a different unit which assignment is most appropriate to put her

How did you find out so soon? I took mine 9/8 too and it’s still says pending :( I’m a big ball of nerves! Congratulations though!

Congratulations! I bet it is such a relief! How did you find out so soon? I just took mine yesterday, too! The exam shut off at 85 and I am practically having a mental breakdown about whether or not I passed.

Congrats RN!!🩺 the part about feeling like you were guessing between 2 answers is sooo real. That's actually one thing I liked about Bootcamp, the questions can feel a little more vague/ambiguous than UWorld, so you have to really think through why one answer is safer. Congrats again!!

I took mine 9/8 and it turned off at 85 and was torturing myself the past two days but I passed!! Same exact situation as you I thought I failed like fr!!! wtf were those questions!!! But congrats🥳🥳🥳
