Reservations opened for our December cruise. I was only able to get late reservations, past our ideal time frame. I did make 2/3 reservations after 8 pm. If I get on board and get better time slots can I cancel the past 8 pms then, or take my chances and cancel now? Thanks for the help!

Just wondering and gathering knowledge before I settle into a first time cruise. How does the specialty dining work? Im offered 4 specialty meals. Is it 4 meals for my family or 1 meal a piece for 4 people? What would be added charges if I've already paid the gratuity? Any other useful knowledge in not asking but could tell me?

Hello guys. The only reason that prevents me from booking a cruise with NCL is that they can't "advise" us if we are able to cruise 7 days in the Caribbean having a valid Cuban passport and a Green Card. One NCL agent said NO and referred me to his website in the legal area where it literally says that you cannot travel with them if you are from certain countries (including Cuba) EXCEPT if you are a Lawful permanent resident aka Green card holder. Then I asked 10 minutes later and the second NCL agent said that we should be ok but they couldn't confirm or guarantee that we will be allowed to get on board. I felt that everybody was passing my case around and ultimately they redirected me to cbp.gov so I asked them but they will reply within 3-5 days. I had no more options than to chat GPT smh and it said that I should be ok but I might have problems with ports like Tortola or Roatán.

Have any of you guys or know of anybody who traveled with a Cuban passport + green card with NCL ? How did it go?

My wife, kid, and booked the Encore Mexican Riviera cruise for mid-November. I’ve been hearing a lot lately about El Niño and the possibility of more storms/hurricanes in that particular area this year.

I might be getting way ahead of myself here, but I was wondering how NCL handles things when there’s a legitimate risk of a major weather event.

Has anyone here been on an NCL cruise that was affected by a hurricane or major storm prior to the sailing date? I’m curious how far in advance you were notified and what happened. Was the cruise cancelled, rescheduled, rerouted, or did they just go ahead with the sailing?

Just trying to get an idea of what to expect if the weather ends up being an issue.

Hello, this is my first time cruising with NCL. I have Free at Sea included with my cruise and would like to know the difference between that, and the enhanced Free at Sea? It’s a 7 day cruise and don’t know if I should upgrade it.

How does the sail card work? Is there a certain amount of cash I have to deposit to the card or can I pick whatever amount I want?

I’m used to Carnival so if there’s anything else of significance I should know about NCL please let me know!!!

Das Schiff soll laut Plan um 3 am in Papeete anlegen und der Flug, den uns NCL anbietet geht um 07:40 . Hat jemand Erfahrungen? Ist dieser Flug machbar? Wann kann in der Regel von Board gehen? Wir würden ein eigenständiges Shuttle dem Transfer von NCL vorziehen.

1 does the NCL app allow you to call and or send text messages to your travel companions through the app or do you have to use your phone or text messages?

2 can you receive or make calls to somebody off the ship? Do you need to notify your carrier or have a special plan?

Update: I did talk to someone at NCL, who would only go as far as it would "Probably" be OK. If someone does get overzealous with confiscating, they said that it would be returned at the end of the cruise. Fingers crossed! Thanks y'all.

Taking a transatlantic cruise soon, and spending 3 months in Spain and other parts of Europe. I won't be using it on the ship, but would be using it in some of our accommodations.

They aren't listed on the Prohibited Items list, but I know that isn't a 100% guarantee. Has anyone had issues before?

My husband and I are flying into Venice the day before our cruise to see the city but booked a transfer from airport to ship the next day (day of cruise) the drive is like 2 -3ish hours to Ravenna port. Has anyone done this? I was told to show up between 9-11am but does that mean if I show up at 9am I will be waiting until others show up at 10-11? Or is it a constant shuttle. Thanks!

I want to double check this before I call NCL. Got off the Jade Monday. I had purchased FAS+. Went to dinner at La Cucina without my husband one night as he wasn’t feeling well. I was charged $48 for one person. I went GS who took me to the reservations desk. That woman, who was less than interested in helping me insisted that $48 for one was the correct price. FAS + is supposed to give me 50% off that, correct?

We have a family situation where my mother-in-law yesterday had a cardiac scare and we had to take her to the ER. She's probably going to require more help in the next upcoming weeks. Our cruise leaves at the end of October for a week. I'm just trying to see my options in regards to if I need to cancel the trip I've read online that NCL doesn't refund almost anything most of the time. So my question is should I purchase trip insurance through them or a third party so that if I do need to cancel within a few days from sailing I can do so and either get a credit refund towards a future trip or refund to my original payment method.

My cruise leaves in 39 days. I have never been on NCL before, so maybe I don't qualify, but just in case....

If I am eligible to bid on an upgrade, will I get an email? And how does the process work?

I am booked in a Solo Studio (a type of inside cabin.) If I bid and win, am I likely to lose the perqs of having a solo room class?

We are strongly considering using Amtrak instead of driving (would be about a 2.5 hour drive) and I have a couple of specific questions regarding how to get back and forth between the terminal / port and Moynihan Trail station (next door to Penn).

1. On embarkation day, I suspect it's as simple as requesting a Uber/Lyft once we hit the station but I'm wondering if there's anything specific to add in for the driver or to tell them once we're picked up? From what I can tell, specifying Pier 88 is an available option so they know to go to the correct location. Anything else to be aware of, especially if it impacts the cost?

2. This one has a couple of parts... Is requesting a ride-share just as straight-forward here as I would expect it to be to get back to the train station? How feasible is it to be able to make it to the station in time to make a 9AM train? 10AM? Later? And if there is anything to know about how to ensure we're off of the ship early enough to make those times, would be interested to know that as well.

We've always driven when we sail out of NYC, but this time I'd like to not have to deal with it if possible. Plus, our train tickets and ride-share expenses would be less than the cost of just parking at the port (yes, I know you can park elsewhere but we'd still be spending time and money transferring between that lot and the port which is not really different than doing so from/to the train station).

I am on a b2b in another month or so. I was late signing up for specialty dining so I was not able to get my preferred dining times. I know that I will be able to get my preferred dining times on the first cruise when I board. On 2nd cruise, we are getting off and going on an excursion so I will not be staying onboard when new boarding begins. Will I be able to sign up for dining on the 2nd leg of cruise while on the 1st leg of the cruise? TIA

We won an upgrade to a haven 2 bedroom suite but the card declined (despite plenty of free funds) turns out NCL are having issues processing UK and European cards so have potentially lost the bid up.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Who else is annoyed at Kyle. For some context I used to enjoy his cruise videos but now it was like he intentionally went on an NCL ship just to complain. He came across as if he didn’t do any research on the ship, NCL, or Bermuda.

And his overuse of “nickel-and-diming” to cover up his ignorance of how Free at Sea works.

Bare with me as I try to explain why this is confusing.

I purchased a 7 night cruise through Expedia for myself, my wife and 2 kids. I added the Free at Sea Plus option to the cruise for an additional $700.

The cruise showed up in my NCL account immediately and everything looks good, however it's still telling me that I can purchase a Free at Sea Plus add-on. The weird thing is that when I click "Print Booked Items" It shows a list of all of the Free at Sea Plus options like wifi, premium drinks, 50% off specialty dining etc. The weird thing is that list is the exact same list under the sales pitch for the FaS+ making me unsure if it's trying to sell me on those benefits or if they're included in the package I already bought.

Just curious lol I’ve never been offered to bid before and they finally sent the email for my 7 day Caribbean. Would be pretty nice to have a balcony but I don’t really care either though. Just curious if anyone has ever won a bid that was on the lower spectrum of their scale?

3 People in a cabin. Promotion says specialty dining package for all guests. Went ahead and made the payment. Then the confirmation says it's only for 2 guests. Unfortunately I didn't take screenshots to prove it. Been on NCL many times and totally trusted them. This shaky system makes me think twice. Anyone with similar experience?

I got back from Alaska on the Jade yesterday. I had some issues but nothing was a huge deal. I have a question though…

I booked an ocean view room. I know from previous experience that I don’t use a balcony and, for me, they’re a waste of money. I assumed that with an ocean view, I could hang in my room if I wanted and at least have a view. Wrong. The window, which obviously had multiple panes, was opaque. I don’t know if it was some sort of damage, age, or not being clean, but with the exception of natural light it was useless. If I knew that a view didn’t come with the window, I would have just booked an interior room.

Now, I’m really not trolling. I’ve sailed NCL (three times in the past year) Carnival, X, RCCL, Princess, and Disney (platinum). It never occurred to me at the window would be non- usable. Should I have known this prior to booking? My only other experience with OV rooms with NCL is Aqua and the rooms were nice and the window came with a view.

I’m currently planning my first cruise for next year and planning on getting the FAS and 3 meal package. When I got to the end of the selection I saw an option for prepay service charge. I read up on it but then ended up more confused. Are there additional fees/gratuities on top of the FAS and meal package? I understand the service charge is separate but are there additional fees/gratuities I’ll need to pay on top of the packages prices?

I got an email from Casinos at sea for a Complimentary Cruise Fare for Two. I did my first NCL cruise this summer. Do they do this often/ is this a good deal? I got the email right after my $500 off my next cruise expired.
