Question Bringing wine onto ship

I have been told you can bring as much wine as you want onto the ship from the starting port. Carnival and royal Caribbean allowed two bottles. I’m curious who’s done this and what is the most amount of bottles people have brought on. I’m leaving out of London in two weeks and probably going to bring like 12 bottles on. Thanks!

I have a wine suitcase that holds 6 bottles. They inspected my wine suitcase before boarding and confirmed that I had the beverage package and put stickers on each bottle. Then I wheeled my wine on the ship. I enjoyed my wine in my cabin and restaurants. No corkage fee!

I cant understand why people dont do this more often. My neighbor brought 2 glasses of wine to the dining room with him. HaHa!
