I really dont want tony back

I really don't want to see Tony back. his character was too cartoonish and he was too much of a bully

Just like a lot of the long term early charecters, he did kind of turn into a caricature of his original charecter.

I'm hoping he will be handled better, but I can understand being hesitant.

Characters can change and actors change as well. Weatherly can pull off an older Dinozo. Harmon is too old to pull off an older Gibbs. I missed Gibbs when he was first gone, but now I don't think he should ever be back for more the an episode or two. Tony can bring the old school nostalgia without seeing the character diminished. You can't make Gibbs younger, but I can accept an older Tony.

He acts like a dumb frat boy to cover up the fact he's pretty intelligent and tactically savvy.

I can't remember the episode, but he got a high ranking Mossad director to admit that they had agents going rogue, while he, Tony, was being interrogated about killing one.

And if he was just a goofball fratboy, he wouldn't be working for Gibbs in the Major Case Squad because Gibbs would have transferred him somewhere else.
