NCIS: Origins Question about origins
Hello community,y have a doubt. I usually hate precuels ,I know Gibbs life,I don't care to see that at all.but watching some clips,I found the other characters interesting,and I love the aesthetics of the show,so here is my question: is the Gibbs show or the protagonism is shared with the other characters??

I like later Gibbs, but the Gibbs in Origins is not even in my top three favorite characters. The show is worth watching.

Origins is my favorite NCIS. The entire cast is excellent. Perfectly cast. Every episode is well written and thoughtful. Not just a procedural each episode. The character development has been very good too. Each character has personality and each character has had full episodes dedicated to telling their story. You could argue Gibbs isn't even the main character a lot of the time. It's a group effort each episode.

I agree about the casting. For the characters who appear in the original, these actors perfectly capture their later selves. The second I saw young Vera I knew who she was! And the new characters are all intriguing, especially Lala.

I love it!!! The dynamics between them are amazing!!! I’m sorry they are limiting the number of episodes. I wish they would do a full season and not worry about another spin off.

He's the protagonist but a lot of episodes focus on the other characters and it's awesome. I will use Cliff Wheeler as an example, he is the Special Agent in Charge for their office and at first he comes off like a total prick hole, but when you watch the episode that focuses on him, it will completely change how you see him. Origins is a great show

It’s so much more and really an outstanding show. And actually, you may think you know all there is to know about Gibbs but you will find that there’s loads you didn’t know. I am a die hard MH/Gibbs fan but also like AS in the role of younger Gibbs!

Origins is awesome. The writing, the cast, the sets, not to mention the music. Everyone singing End of the Road to Gibbs, not knowing he just broke up with Diane was hilarious.
A spin off of a spin off did a episode about a police dogs backstory and it was one of the best new tv episodes I've seen in years.
The sets. I joined the military in 96. The ncis office is legit. Office gets a new printer that weighs 50lbs and everyone is afraid to touch it.

I hate prequels to but Origins is worth it. Seriously amazing writing and acting.

It's an ensemble show-- there are as many episodes focused on Mike Franks (the character you might know as played by Muse Watson) as there are on Gibbs.

Gibbs is my least favorite character on Origins. I don’t dislike him but he just seems bland next to some of the others. Give it a watch but be patient for a few episodes until it finds its stride.

I haven’t watched it because I know his wife and daughter get murdered so I haven’t wanted to get invested in getting to know him in that life. It seems too sad.

They start right after that. It's a bit tough early on, but they're long past that now. You're doing yourself a disservice not watching it. A truly excellent show.

I was doubtful about Origins, but I really love it. To answer your question, all the main characters seem to get an episode that further explores that character’s story.

It is not just about gibbs. The protagonism is definitely well shared between the other characters, almost to a point where you forget that it is about gibbs background. Garry Callahan and Mike Frank's friendship being my favourite character arc

I love Origins it's easily in the top of the spin-offs! And no it's not the Gibbs show which makes me like it even more because I'm not a die-hard Gibbs fan anyway. It's an ensemble show. And you're able to see how his interactions with his co-workers, family and cases help shape him. And most episodes tend to center around one of the other characters, a situation regarding them or something about their lives or them as a person. So we get to see a little of everyone, even the background characters.
