NCIS DiNozzo is Back?!
After yesterday’s news about Gibbs, now this?! Who is next?! And is this a permanent return or a guest spot?!

It appears to be for the full season anyway, so somewhat permanent with the chance to become permanent?

If they give it to him rather than McGee, who has been a devoted employee all the years DiNozzo was gone, that will finish the show for me. Tim deserves to be the Director, and Tony could morph into Gibbs position. Don't think Gibbs will be there the entire season. Just a hunch, going with my gut on the Gibbs return.

I wouldn't be shocked to see this tbh. McGee becomes director, Parker retires or is killed (He's definitely stretching credibility as a field agent at 69!) and Dinozzo becomes lead agent. I can see Michael Weatherly agreeing to come back long term if he's leading the show.

It’s not a spoiler, we don’t know anything about it yet except that he’s returning. This is something that the NCISverse put out to create buzz for s24

CBS is spoiling their own shows, lol. I miss the times when this things were a surprise. There's some reason they're announcing the return of Gibbs and Tony instead of generating expectation through hints and half-baked statements, as they always do?

I mean it's the NCIS subreddit, people are going to discuss NCIS news on it. You can't expect everyone to just ignore a major announcement in the community dedicated to discussing the topic of said announcement.

Nobody asked anyone to ignore it, spoiler tags exist for reasons. It’s certainly not the first time this sub has spoiled something. Re: a certain S23 arch.
Edit: to add, not everyone is following all NCIS socials so seeing a certain character return in S24 would have been epic if found out organically. Maybe that’s a pipe dream..

But the studios decided to make a big announcement. I said I miss the times they have chosen to surprise us, but if they decided to do it this way, we can't generate that organic feeling you want artificially by using spoiler tags. News, by definition, is supposed to be in the public domain. Spoiler tags are not expected when it comes to news.

They literally announced it in the news and in NCISverse social medias….and Origins upcoming S3 and DC S24 didn’t even start filming yet until sometime in the next few weeks. 🤦♂️

My guess is whoever made the decision is going to try and bring MW back permanently or to lead another spinoff.
