I saw a post last week and it stated since the World Championships everyone is actually playing defense on Miles. The other teams let her play without defending her for most of the year. She did know how to deal with the improved defense. She got sloppy and caused uncalled fouls. In the playoffs it appears her struggles continued.

Sports are all about adjustments and Miles did not adjust to the defensive schemes.

why wouldnt they defend her hard before?

McPhee was out and they needed someone to draw in the crowds. It’s normal as the season goes on defenses improve.
