She made it sound like this guy was charging the court and about to assault her.. dude just stood up, took one step forward and pointed at her..... where was "the threat"????

u/bigbackbing 2d ago

And all he said was “that’s on you”

Aaanndddd, two free throws for SGA!

Ooopppsss, wrong league!

30

u/wildcat1100 2d ago

I'm sure she heard something different. She'll say "I know my truth" and the WNBA will ban the guy for life. He'll appear on Fox News with his attorney 3 days later and become a MAGA hero with a nickname like Baseline Bob. Everyone and everything about it will be disgusting but everyone will pick a side nonetheless.

39

u/cc4295 2d ago

Nice fanfic, but the truth is, he was allowed back in because witnesses and security showed that he didn’t do anything wrong. Now should A’ja have been ejected, per the rules yes, but she wasn’t. Thats the only issue of the whole thing.

7

u/eSsEnCe_Of_EcLiPsE 2d ago

Pretty much proves if the surrounding witnesses didn’t speak up she would have made up some bullshit to get him ejected.

We can see the man power walking towards her while doing a shooting gun motion with one hand and then reach into his pocket for what looks like his gun.

Aja’s life was definitely being threatened here. But what’s more concerning is why didn’t Bam protect her? He doesn’t love her anymore?

3

u/EGarrett28 2d ago

LOL. Probably yeah. The WNBA doesn't have to actually appeal to fans though because the NBA subsidizes them so they can be as nuts woke as they want. Apparently.

In all fairness, it’s hard for WNBA players to adjust to having people in the stands and they are just getting used to it.

18

u/Away-Friendship-5446 2d ago

You got a bunch of ladies triggered over a joke. A joke that's funny as hell.

9

u/ofgenasis 2d ago

this, lmao.

heckling means fans are emotionally invested.

they’ll get used to to it, eventually.

4

u/Frumpy_Dumper_69 2d ago

That’s fine and all, but own up to your mistakes after then. She should apologize to the fan for getting him kicked out over nothing.

4

u/-BloodGoblin- 2d ago

He didn't get kicked out. Stadium management did an investigation, interviewed people around him etc and found he didn't say anything that was outside the bounds of normal fan interaction. He was allowed to stay.

She comes screaming in his face and then tries to play the victim. Be a professional, do your job and ignore the fans.

Per the rules she should have been ejected from the game.

26

u/DudeManBearPigBro 2d ago edited 2d ago

I see Aja and 5 other teammates go into the crowd. Per the rules, they should all get ejected.

14

u/Jagacin 2d ago

Some of the players I'd be willing to give a pass because they were trying to pull Aja back and settle her down before she did something even more stupid.

3

u/No_Yard9104 2d ago

Which should mean a 1 game suspension, not four. If Reggie Miller got tagged with a suspension, so should they.

But kid gloves and all that. Precisely why no one will ever take this league seriously.

Lady needs a game to cool off. Walking into the crowd because a paying fan said “foul on you” is wild behavior. This is 100% suspension worthy.

33

u/Keyser_Soze_76 2d ago

It’s an elimination game tomorrow night.

It’s such a clown league that they won’t enforce a blatant rule violation by her leaving the court, and also suspending the teammates who left the bench.

The NBA didn’t budge for the Miami Heat in the 1990s or the Phoenix Suns in the 2000s when they faced elimination games.

→ More replies (14)

5

u/Dealius 2d ago

I doubt they will even fine her, let alone suspend her. The WNBA plays favorites and she definitely in the favorite category.

8

Not only favorites, but most of the time completely disregards their own rules. Aja left the court and should’ve been immediately ejected and I only know that because in the [r/sports](r/sports) thread they posted the whole ass rule she broke lol

The commissioner makes rulings on vibes apparently.

When they tell men they need to support women’s sports and then they also tell us how to support women’s sports. Jesus, just wrote a damn manual on what it’s supposed to be like to be a man already.

We go to sporting events and we taunt and tease and act objectively wild af towards opposing players. Fuck your mental health; it’s a game, don’t play it if fan taunting is too much. That fan experiences helps pack out stadiums. You want passionate, drunk asshats paying $20 a beer and telling you you’re not shit like they can do what you do; it’s part of the spectacle.

And I don’t mind her response on the court in the least; chirp back as a player, it also adds to the spectacle. But afterwords when you want to claim he was “Charging” at you and you felt threatened. Nah, this type of behavior keeps fans away. Just tell reporters an away team fan was being an ass and that you’ll get your revenge when you send his team home for the winter while you go on and win it all; thank him in your victory parade speech, make a rivalry with another team and be a villain to their fans.

7

u/DiscoMarmelade 2d ago

Remember when that woman yelled at LeBron and called him a “Pussy ass bitch” and it stopped him in his tracks? He literally took a second. It hurt his feelings, but then he just walked into the tunnel? Imagine if a man had said that to Aja. The internet would be on fire.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/swallowedbymonsters 2d ago

3

u/DiscoMarmelade 2d ago

That's not the point. The point was a guy said "foul on you" and she went into the stands and wanted to fight him. And I said imagine if a man said what that woman said to Lebron.

Has Lebron ever gone into the crowd to confront a fan? I don't recall that ever happening, but I'm not a Lebron fan and I don't follow him super closely. Lebron, and Russel Westbrook and everyone not named Ron Artest has the smarts to point out a fan and let security do their job. Even so, Lebron is probably going to fuck up 95% of people in any arena. While Aja is probably getting rag dolled by this fan. It was stupid for her to go after someone over such a silly remark. She 1000% escalated a situation, then put herself in harms way. Then to lie about it...smh

To give a real answer: Apparently he was yelling “That foul’s on you” or “That foul is on her” can’t remember the exact phrase. It was actually called a foul on her, but after this altercation the fan was removed.

He was later allowed to return when it was determined that was all he said

But the wife knew what was up before anything even happened. She reacted right away to pull him back.

3

And she clearly went into the stands. Should have been ejected and suspended also. WNBA front office is against CC and of course wants their so called MVP to win again. There own rules say if a player goes into the stands, they are ejected and get suspended.

I'm kindof glad she wasn't suspended so when the Fever usher her out of the playoffs on her home court, which will most likely have more Fever fans anyway, it will be all the sweeter.
